The real world Peacock Spirit!

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

The Wikipedia Article

As interested as I am with the ancient Golarion mythology of the Peacock Spirit, it was totally by accident that I came across an article on Wikipedia that could serve as an awesome jumping off point in real world lore for folks wanting to flesh out the ancient religion in their campaigns.

Anyway I thought it was fun enough to bear sharing with all you fine folks. Enjoy.

Wow. Very cool. I'm into religions and I've never even heard of that one. Thanks.

Silver Crusade

I first heard of Yazidi in the comic series Top Ten. It seemed like something Alan Moore simply made up at the time until I looked into it.

Even more amazing that they survive to this day despite the persecution their beliefs(or rather others' views of them) have brought upon them.

Just stumbled into this myself while reading the biography of Captain Sir Richard F. Burton. My immediate reaction was "Peacock Spirit? Golarion? Huh?"

I recommend the book by the way - >THIS ONE<
