Naria is a junior druid from the Eldeen reaches who has been sent out into the wider world in order to learn more about its inhabitents and cultures. Being fairly young for a druid combined with her Razorclaw heritage means she can at times be quite hot headed and while being fairly intelligent she often prefers to try and solve poblems with her muscles rather than her brain. so she has been tasked to go on a journy to see more of the world which the elders of her order hope will teach her patiance and restraint.
So how does it look? do you think it could do with more work?

Good job so far guys, the characters are starting to get some shape and color. You may have noticed I am able to post a lot, so we'll see if I can't help to keep a good pace going.
Also, I think I'm going to try something. I'd like each of you to post 20 rolls of a d20, and 20 rolls of % dice. This way, if you critical, I'll take a % roll, and just tell you what happened, rather than asking for the roll, then you posting back, then me posting the result. saves two posts, speeds it up, and makes the element of excitement for you a bit better as you don't know which % I'm using. I'll do the same for spot checks, etc, so there is less meta game worry about "why did Brian ask for a roll? Whats out there?" If you see it or hear it, I'll just tell you.
What are your opinions on that idea?
I vote YES!!!

Xito, he was working as a joker and entertainer for noble houses and rich people, his prestidigitation tricks were always new and original, no other like to make laugh people and keep a good show. People said him often “why don’t you learn the bards path” “you chose a wrong career”. However, Xito always kept in silence about those commentaries and with a smile responded “this is temporary this is the way to achieve greater objectives”. At night Xito goes to his little house’s basement and starts reading all he has got about magic and experiments new ways of magic.
He was married some years ago but his wife left him taken his little girl with her, she was ashamed of her husband profession so she decided not to stay with him anymore. She thinks his husband is a “hired clown”. Well, Xito was a prosperous merchant before she married him, but times were not so good forever and he went to bankruptcy, so he took something till that day was a hobby to make it his profession from then on.
Some days ago he feels the time has arrived to go through the world looking for adventures in order to recover the status he lost. His magic is powerful now and he thinks the time has arrived to get the glory and riches he need to recover the love of his wife.
Some people thinks he should marry another woman but Xito loves Tamara his only and true love…according to him.
Flaws and traits? I have never played with those elements before, but if you like so I am with you. But since flaws and traits are generally something we can control (we just are born with them) then please tell me mine.

Lots of combat variants
Just a comment: play-by-post combat tends to be really slow and variants that aren't built to specifically make a game faster tend to slow it down even more, especially as people forget the variants and they are discussed. Depending on the posting frequency a combat can easily last a couple of weeks.
Egoist are available. Were you looking at a Sorcerer/ Egoist, or a Sorcerer OR Egoist? I have no problem with people stacking classes in the party (2 of the same class), but I know some people dislike it.

And my background and personality.
During the Last War, Vianolais was one of many elven mercenaries that fought for Cyre, and afterwards he continued to ride with his warband. More than a few Karnaathi soldiers have fallen before Vianolais. However, it was after his second horse fell, that Vianolais decided to leave Valenar. His warband had been tracking a group of hobgoblins across the plains for just over a day and were drawing close to their quarry. They were so intent on their goal that they never noticed they were being followed. The elves caught up to and clashed with the hobgoblins at the edge of a forest. The hobgoblins had hoped to make it to the trees where the cavalry would be less effective; they didn’t make it. The hobgoblins outnumbered the elves and fought bravely, but the elves held a clear advantage. Only two of the ten elves had fallen, and it looked as if the three remaining hobgoblins would surrender when the ground began to shake. Three enormous insects (later identified as ankhegs) burrowed up from the ground behind the ring of mounted warriors. One erupted right behind Vianolais.
Without a care for his mount, Vianolais was out of saddle. He knew he would gain more time by sacrificing the animal, and he took it without a backwards glance. He felled a hobgoblin mid-charge as his horse neighed in pain. A stab from another hobgoblin brought a haze of rage, and sheer anger carried him through the rest of the fight. As the second hobgoblin fell and Vianolais stood there gasping for breath. He turned to see what had become of his compatriots. Only one more elf had fallen, in addition to Vianolais’ horse, and the ankhegs were dead. All of the elves were wounded to some degree, most in attempts to save their horses; the fallen elf’s horse was being reigned in by a comrade. The battle was a victory, but for Vianolais it didn’t sit right.
Vianolais walked for the duration of the return journey. He couldn’t come to terms with the animals being anything more than tools; useful, just like a finely crafted weapon, but nothing more. Inward meditation and guidance from his guardian ancestor led Vianolais to leave. He needed to find an appreciation for himself, and then he might be able to appreciate the animals. Perhaps once he feels he doesn’t need to prove himself, Vianolais can stop seeing everything else as just a tool to prove himself with.
Vianolais is brave to the point of foolhardy. He’s not stupid, but feels that not facing a challenge is cowardly. He’s grown up in a society based on combat and that is how he solves problems. He’s friendly and slow to anger, but very in tune with his own emotions. If something riles him up, he’s most likely to ride out those feelings and analyze them afterwards. He sees his carelessness with the horses as a sign that he’s missing something in his life, and he has left his land in search of it. Currently he believes that heroic deeds will make him feel complete. His ancestral spirit lived with the same flaws as Vianolais, and guides him in his quest.
Let me know what you think. I'll have the die rolls up later.

Kevin:
First go to www.invisiblecastle.com, and click on the "Roll DIce" link (it is above the page).
When you are there fill in the blanks acording to your needs that is 20 rolls for a d20 dice. Click on "Roll the Dice" at the end of the page and you have it.
At the end of the page there is a "Link", it is a URL direction copy and paste on your post to allow our DM watch it.

Thankyou Joshua and Patricio for posting your mumbers. I need a vote from the group. In an effort to speed things up dramatically, would you like me to use the rolls for everything needed? (i.e. attacks, saves, skill checks, criticals, etc.)
This will leave the decision of WHAT your character does to you, it will leave the storytelling of IF they succeed and HOW to me. You post what you do, (I charge the first Orc and Power attack with my Longsword), and I tell you what happens (With a roar, you lift your fathers sword high, and charge at the orc, swatting his mace aside and cutting deap into the leather on his chest, staggering him backwards). I will know what your attack bonuses are, etc. and it will remove a lot of the ROLL playing and leave more ROLE playing for you guys. I would also have you roll damage dice in advance in this case. So... vote please. :)

Patricio:
Also, please add 2 Ability Points to any Ability for being a Human.
Also, choose one Martial Weapon you would like to be trained in.
I may have missed it, but what languages does your character speak?
As a Wizard, is he a Specialist? Or just a general Wizard?
Go ahead and pick a Regional Feat from Artist, Cosmopolitan, Education, Smooth Talk, Thug, Twin Sword Style.

mittean |

Joshua:
Make your WP 13 (12 Con + 1st level)
roll 1d6 and add it to your for Luck Points.
Don't forget 5 Hero Points.
Did you want to purchase a Backpack with your last 2 GP? Nothing to carry everything else in otherwise.
Go ahead and pick a regional feat from Horse Nomad, Saddleback and Survivor.
Add 5 Skill Points to any Skills for your background.
Add one Feat for your background.
Add 4 Skill Points to be used on any Knowledge, Craft or Profession skill, as a mark of your skills before becoming an adventurer.
Was Weapon Focus (VDS) your Feat from your Flaw? And did you want a second Flaw? Love the 1st.
Go ahead and add + to you Intelligence as per Pathfinder rules.
And I have some ideas for your character that would make great hooks to flesh out his backstory, if you're open to them.

Thanks Kevin and Patricio. Kevin, I'm going through your character now, should have some stuff for you later on tonight. Nicely done to you, Patricio and Joshua. I'm excited to see Avendis d'Sivis, and can't wait to see Bray and LazarX's characters. So far: Human Wizard male, Gnome spellcaster (not sure if its a Wizard, Artificer or Sorcerer or Bard yet), a Razorclaw Shifter Druid female, possibly a female Artificer, and a Changeling Sorcerer, Egoist, Wizard or Artificer. Keep in mind, we have one big hitter here, our Valenar Elf Barbarian. That's okay, but if Bray or LazarX want to try a more Martial, Rogue, or Cleric class, it'd be good to look into. Keep it up and we'll be starting in no time!

Are the pre-adventurer ranks purchsed by class, I mean would Kowledge skill ranks still count as cross-class?Two-Weapon Fighting would be the bnus feat, and I'm fine with one flaw.
Make any additions or changes to my background as you see fit.
I'll repost the character soon.

The Valaes Tairn train their people to be warriors from a young age. The elves strive to live up to the legacies set by their ancestors in Xen’Drik. Vianolais is no different. He’s a warrior first and foremost, but in becoming so, he has also become an excellent hunter and tracker and quite skilled in woodcraft.

Liriel |

LazarX wrote:I'm creating a new messageboard alias for this campaign. I'll be posting under the same name as the character, Liriel. she'll be coming up soon.Introducing Liriel Opaline formerly of the nation of Cyre. she is a dark haired ebon-eyed gnome whose eyes sparkle at the thought of a new creation, a tendency to be balanced by a sense of thrift. When not in adventuring gear she favors a silver and black color scheme that accentuates her hair and eyes. She catches your gaze and returns it with enthuisasm.
Liriel worked as an assitant and apprentice to the artificer Jonas d'Cannaith up to the events leading to Cyre's destruction. The Last War had kept the workshop open on a virtually nonstop basis until the end. The cataclsyms separted her from Jonas and she has not heard of him or his family since the war ended. Her immediate relations for the most part survived the war and are currently living in Breeland. She completed the last part of her training mostly on her own working on temporary jobs she chose that took her as far away from the Mournland as she could manage.

Bray Abbitt |
Hey guys, I am stepping aside from this game. It appears that I finally have players for a Pathfinder campaign. I'm sure you shouldn't have any problems finding a sub.
Just as an aside...everytime I tried to come up with a martial character I kept thinking of by-brother-in-law's character from my last Eberron campaign: Jax a amnesiac, narcoleptic, ascetic warforged monk. Sounds completely off but he was a hell of a lot of fun. basically I allowed him a couple of exalted feats with a single really bad flaw basically he would fall "asleep" whenever he rolled a one in combat. this happened far more than we thought and at the absolute worst times (especially after he got multiple attacks). It also gave me the opportunity to provide foreshadowing visions/dreams that also tied into his unknown past. Anyway hope you all have as much fun.

mittean |

Okay guys, sorry to hear we lost Bray. Perhaps another time. I am working on Liriel and Naria at the moment, seeing that everything that is needed is there.
Go ahead and drop me some die rolls for d4's, d6's, d8's, d10's, and d12's. d20's we'll always need, of course.
Fore use of any Action Points, etc, when you are needing to use one, please tell me. an example:
Naria and Vianolais have pursued a villain, and cornered him, seeking to get information out of him, or end his corrupt carrer. Naria states she'd like to try a diplomacy check, and knows she needs a total solid on this, so states she'd like to use a Hero Point, and I add a + 10 to her roll. The villain responds, "I want to help, but the information you seek, I do not have. And I must kill you to save my family", He attacks Vianolais, his Great Hammer slamming him back with tremendous force. Vianolais needs to drop him, and fast, so when he attacks, he uses an Action Point, to help ensure that he hits.

Xito/ Patricio:
Please pick one more language, due to your Intelligence score.
Please add your Green Action Points (5), and your Red AP, Blue AP, and White AP (all currently 0), roll 1d6 and add 2 for Luck Points, and add 5 Hero Points.
Your starting HP are 18, and please add XHP (extra HP) 18 and Wound Points 13.
Fortitude should be +1 now from the +2 to Con.
You may cast your three Cantrips (0-level spells per day) at will, spontaneously. You don't need to memorize them.
Please choose 1 skill that is not a Class Skill. It is now considered a Class Skill.
Stabalization is 13%. Clobber is 6 and Massive Damage is 13.
You Trait is Absent-minded. +1 to all Kno Skills, -1 to Spot and Listen.
Your two flaws (if you choose to accept them) are non-combatant and Shakey, giving you a -2 on melee and ranged attacks. You get to choose two more feats if you accept the flaws.

Also Xito/ Patricio:
As a Universal or General Wizard, you gane an augmented version of Mage Hand at 1st level.
Hand of the Apprentice (Su): As a Standard Action, you may draw a weapon using a Free Action, then attack within 30' with your Bab plus your Int Mod for attacks and damage. The Hand does not threaten, nor does it recieve AoO. You must Concentrate to use this ability.
You still need to spend 8 more Skill Points.
That should complete your character. Thanks!

mittean |

Naria/ Kevin:
Make your HP 19
Your ride should be 3 by my calculations, your Jump -5 (Spd 20'), and your Handle Animal is at 4.
Add 4 Skill Points into Craft, Knowledge or Profession.
Add a Feat
Add a Regional Feat from Blooded, Forester, Luck of Heroes, Militia, Strong Soul
Make sure you have 5 Green Action Points, 1d6+lvl+ChaMod Luck Points, and 5 Hero Points
+2 to Kno (nature) for being a Druid, and +2 to Survival
Your Orisons are cast like Spell-like abilities. Tiy don't have to memorize them.
Other than that you look ready to go, I believe! Good job.
