So we had a nice big nasty T-storm here in south central Kansas. Rain like sheets, hail the size of baseballs, and two back to back tornado warnings, one of which came from a touchdown, approximately ten seconds long, around my school, about three blocks away.
Now, this would all be well and good, except for that the warnings stopped me from enjoying my evening free time, and the hail took out my car's rear windshield. Lo and behold, I only have liability insurance on the policy, so I get to either a)hope the family will pay for it to be fixed sooner, or b) wait until July when I get paid to fix it.
Not even really concerned, just a bit perturbed at the disturbance of my free time, and the distinct lack of money I will have come July.
Ah well, I'm well, as are my friends. Plus, I still have all my stuff, and a couple beers. I will make do.

Well, for once they were right about the whole thing, seeing as there was no warning at all, and suddenly every TV on my floor was sounding with the same warning. Then we got to sit in the basement for an hour, with nothing happening. When the second siren went off, at least hail came.
Of course, half of every other time, these storms just happen to miss our town.
