Operation Countdown to Zero
The gaming industry has been dominated by Wizards of the Coast for a long time, and every year the attitude of Wizards seems to be getting worse. The company's message boards reflect that attitude, and the community liaison, Mike Lescault (Gamer Zer0), is a good example of how Wizards thinks that customers can just be told what they like. Mike is also good at censoring any critical voices.
So why should you care about Wizards? Well, you don't have to care, ignoring them is a good way of making them feel the power of customers. However, we want to go a step further and make Wizards feel that gamers are not happy with the way the company is behaving. So today (Friday) we'll launch Operation Countdown to Zero, a strike against the message boards of Wizards. We'll start by putting up a nice, politely-worded post, and when Wizards starts deleting posts, we'll put them all over their message boards faster than they can take them down.
Details can be found here http://www.gleesux.synthasite.com and here http://www.freewebs.com/gleesux/ . We'd love to see many people join us this weekend and make Wizards sweat a little. Let's see if we can pull this off, I'm sure it will be fun.

"George"? Seriously? This sort of stuff is getting tedious. If you don't like WotC and their practices, just be an adult and stay away from their website, message board, and products. No one needs to fire up a bag of poo on their e-doorstep to get the point across.

I'd rather just ignore them and spend money at Paizo. Less work, more fun for me . . .
That's what I've been doing.....Pathfinder. Who cares about WotC? I have Jason Buhlmann, Erik Mona, James Jacobs, Nic Logue, Jeff Grubb, and a slew of other fantastic authors writing for me. Name one WotC writer who stack up to that.
They will see their error eventually.

I should've added "or they won't and who cares because I still have my D&D, not some uncaring corporate version of it by industry seconds and thirds." Sorry. Me stating that WotC would ever actually be in tune to anything their customers do is pretty ridiculous...

Why do some people love internet flame wars so much?
I frequent the WotC/Gleemax boards, and while I'm not crazy about some of the reorganisation they're doing I'm not getting worked up about it. It's just a messageboard system.
My #1 rule of the internet:
It's NEVER worth getting upset over something some guy once said on the internet.
My #2 rule of the internet:
Complaining about the quality of the free entertainment that someone is giving you is in poor taste.
