Any ideas for composition of a horde of vermin driven by mad elvish druids? Giant bugs would be good too.
Weasles, Giant Wasps, Medium Vipers(not necessarily vermin :/ ), Bats, Monstrous Spiders, Monstrous Scorpions, Locusts, and just for fun; toss a squid in as well.

All the other suggestions work for any druid. I like the idea of mad elvish druids driving a swarm of dire versions of otherwise "cute" bugs.
This assumes "mad" as "insane" rather than "angry".

Giant Dragonflys maybe? If the elves have small allies (like the Thorns from the MMIII) they could even ride them.
Spiders and centipedes (ugh, centepedes) don't seem quite right, but Rezdave's suggestions would fit, IMO.
While not technically vermin, swarms of birds like crows and hawks might work.

I see it as a blow towards all 'builders and spoilers', but would act as a renewal of the attack area- getting rid of deadwood.

Do Kobolds qualify as vermin for the OP?
Blackflies.
Racoons.
Skunks.
Wow, good suggestions. What would things like giant katydids do, anyway? And yes, squirrels are vermin--more or less tree rats, really.
BTW I do mean 'mad' in the crazy sense.
Since we're talking Elves, why not a swarm of butterflies?

If you are looking at vermin, why not kobolds?
Yeah, we're looking at you KC.
No, I have nothing productive to contribute.
