Jester character class

3.5/d20/OGL

Can someone direct me to the sourcebook, if any, of a viable Jester core or prestige class?

One of my players is considering this as a backup character or a direction to take his Rogue and he swears that he's seen this class in a book somewhere.

Thanks,
Marc

The Dragon Compendium.

Out of curiosity, is Paizo planning on publishing another DC?

It is from the Dragon Compendium.

The Jester is a Prestige Class for the Bard so unless your Rogue has some lvl's in Bard he wont be able to take it.

There's two jesters. The Dragon Compendium has a core class version. Sort of an anti-bard, focused on dishing out penalties to opponents rather than plusses to allies.

The second is a heavily bard-focused PrC. I do not recall whether or not it's possible for a rogue to qualify.

Pretty sure I saw in a thread somewhere that they don't have the rights to it, Wizards does, so there probably won't be one. :(

dragon issue #330 has a Jester prestige class in it.
my only complaint is they went crazy on the colored pages so it's a pain in the but to scan or print it to have a folder copy.

Is the Bard-design Jester in a WoTC resource book, or in a 3rd party book?
