Necromancer's Campaign World

I have Bard's Gate, and a few of the adventures set around it, but the information I have on the rest of the region is very sketchy.

I'm particularly interested in the Forest Kingdoms, but all I know is the name. Is there any information available about them?

Necromancer's Campaign world is (as intended) extremely generic to allow it to fit easily into anyone's homebrew. Other than a few iconic locations (Rappan Athuk, Bard's Gate, Grand Ducy of Reme, Darkmoon, etc.) that pop up in several products, most locations are self-contained in their individual adventure or sourcebook so that they can be easily placed just about anywhere.

In K6: Shades of Gray, Michael Proteau put together a geography for the campaign world that includes most of the oldest iconic locations (including the Forest Kingdoms you mentioned) based partially on an original sketch map that either Clark or Bill had done up early on. However, it's not necessarily an official campaign world map. For one theing it disagrees with some of the geography I created in the Slumbering Tsar series. Michael and I have discussed the matter and he graciously allowed that it is just one interpretation (however, with Slumbring Tsar having yet to see print, I have to give the point to him on that issue :-) ). Anyway, beyond that I don't think anything official has been done, though you might be able to find some fan-created stuff on the NG website (necromancergames.com). I don't know if anything has done much development of the Forest Kingdoms in particular.

Thanks for the reply. .

I'm actually having a lot of fun trying to piece together a campaign world from the snippets in the half a dozen or so adventures that I have. (For instance, I originally had Reme as being south of Bard's Gate, because I couldn't see anywhere in Bard's Gate where it actually says what direction you need to travel to get to Reme.)

I'll try and get my hands on K6, and see how much resemblance it bears to my version.

Heres some fan maps from the forum. I too started to do a necro world. Wonder what happened to that project?...

Not much on the forest kingdoms though.

Thank you!

Always wondered where the Durbenford area would fit in the general geography. Nice to see also the relative postion of the Quail Valley and other large adventures such as Barakus and Rappan Athuk.

Reme's geographic relationship from Bard's gate is one of the few established directions in the setting. Reme lies to the west down the Tradeway. If you can get ahold of W1: The Cricible of Freya, I believe it has the first area map published and includes the Stoneheart Mountains and the Tradeway. Bard's gate is to the east and Reme is to the west.

P.S. that's an awesome link, Craulius.

Yeah, I have W1, and I should have looked at that first. It even has how long the journey takes.
