Clarification of Shipping Options

Customer Service

Dark Archive

So, I've been a subscriber for a while and played around with my shipping options a bit during that time. Most of my orders have arrived just over a week after being shipped, regardless of the shipping method, apart from PF #4 which disappeard over Christmas, but its replacement arrived just over a week after it was posted.

For shipping to the UK there are 3 options for my subscriptions which have a big difference in cost but apparently little difference in service. Could someone please clarify exactly what the difference between them is?

I get the following options:

USPS Package Service - 9-36 business days - $6.86
USPS First Class - 9-36 business days $19.14
USPS Priority - 6-10 business days $26.70

So the main issues seems to be the difference between USPS package service and USPS First Class. They both have the same delivery estimate but First Class costs almost 3x what Package costs. Is there really a difference?

Behind the scenes, the parcels are handled differently, but the net effect to you is not predictably different—if we mailed two packages to you on the same day using each service for one, one would probably arrive earlier than the other, but which one that would be in any given month is a toss-up. So just go with the cheaper one.
