Anyone here heard of Miles Vorkosigan?

Dark Archive

I was introduced to Miles Vorkosigan through the book, "Borders of Infinity" by Lois Mcmaster Bujold. I was instantly fascinated by him, a dwarfish overcompensating megalomaniac. Thereafter, I read all the books about him that was ever published about that I could get my hands on to wit:

The Warrior's Apprentice
The Vor Game
Cetaganda
Borders of Infinity
Brothers in Arms
Mirror Dance
Memory
Komarr
A Civil Campaign
Diplomatic Immunity.

I'm presently waiting for the next installment in the series.

Sovereign Court

Nope, never heard of him. :-)

List in chronological order:

Shards of Honor
Barayar
(these two books are also combined into "Cordelia's Honor")
The Warrior's Apprentice
Short Story: The Mountains of Mourning
(all short stories are contained in "Borders of Infinity")
The Vor Game
Cetaganda
Ethan of Athos
Short Story: Labyrinth
Short Story: The Borders of Infinity
Brothers in Arms
The Borders of Infinity
Mirror Dance
Memory
Komarr
A Civil Campaign
Diplomatic Immunity

Scarab Sages

Miles is da' Man!

Great series! I love how she takes on a lot of different genres with him as the focal point. I also enjoyed the few stories "pre-Miles" starring his parents.

Awesome series. Lois McMaster Bujold is a great read. I've met her at WorldCon in Philly, and at Norwescon.

I highly recommend Curse of Chalion as well. Loved that book.

Lois McMaster Bujold is one of my favorite authors. I recommend her to other people all the time.

She's been one of my favorite authors for a good while, now.

The Curse of Chalion (and its sequel, Paladin of Souls) are my favorite fantasy books ever. Amazing - highly recommended.

Read every Miles novel except Mirroer Dance (cause I can't find it).

Absolutely hilarious reads...

Imagine a cross of Napolean & Macguyver on constant doses of Red Bull and you have Miles..

Wow, coincidence. I'd never heard of any of the names or books mentioned in this thread, except one.

I just got "Cordelia's Honor" in a box of books left with me by a friend shipped to Iraq. While sifting through the Forgotten Realms novels, I saw Cordelia's Honor, read the first two or three pages and wasn't immediately turned off, and resolved to read it. It's on my nightstand right now.
