Where can I learn more about the Everwar? Presumably Cheliax was involved somehow, but I'm not sure about much else.

There's a fair amount of information on the Everwar in the upcoming Pathfinder Chronicles Gazetteer. In short, it's a period of expansion in which Cheliax tried to seize territory in several parts of Avistan and even a bit of Garund.
The effort was launched by the expansionist Chelish King Haliad III in 4305 and officially ended when Cheliax ceded its territorial ambitions in Varisia in 4407. Korvosa is a product of the Everwar, a conflict that also touched Molthune and Nidal.
