Actually, I try to mix up "meters" and "feet," or "yards," just for s!@#s and giggles, and I like to train my brain to think in other ways sometimes....just didn't think about the floors thing.
Yeah, I spotted the fence being a metre high, so I wondered if you were going metric on us!
| Altai Iscarni |
As Altai finishes waving his hands around, a glittering multihued beetle appears next to the bandits' leader in a puff of vanilla-scented smoke. It promptly bears down on Swertlow with its huge mandibles.
Chomp, chomp. As I have the Augment Summoning feat, the bug is tougher and stronger than its beetle-brothers. Attack roll 15+3=AC 18, damage 6+2+1(smite evil)= 9.
His spells exhausted, Altai draws his crossbow and loads it.
I also step 5' away from the action, ending up in P15. The beetle only lasts for one round, so it disappears just before my initiative next round.

I figured that the guy who just pasted me was still "on" me, that's why I backed up 5' before healing, so I wouldn't draw an AoO. But if he thinks the lil' elf is no longer a threat, wait till round 3, and I will be happy to disabuse him of that notion! ;)

Yeah, if you don't step back he'll be on you still and you'll risk AOO's with casting. I figured you were backing up 5 feet, if they bad guy stays put he happens to be adjacent to Stiggy as well, so I figured he'd switch targets to the dwarf (whom you were standing next to) - 'course he might decide to follow you instead.

Oooops. Yeah, that's what I meant. Sorry 'bout that.

A huge giant form comes onto the scene. Cloaked in tattered robes, he wields a longsword in one hand and a throwing axe in the other, he snarls a battle cry and charges headlong into the fray....init-1d20=7+2=9

Harvak....here's what you see. You're coming up on the wagon, not the combat site. You see a wagon, a great dane baying, and 2 men on the ground, in leather armor with swords. There's a man up on the seat of the wagon, holding a blonde girl in a red hooded cloak. He has her grappled pretty well. "Heh, heh, pretty...." the other two laugh.
They're to the left and right of the wagon, you're 30 feet away. The dog barks at the one on the left.Roll hide roll and move silently roll. Know that the fog is covering you well, and the loud dog is also covering you well.
| Harvak |
Okay. I stab one in the mid back with my longsword. The other one gets my hand axe in the back of his neck!
longsword in the back!
1d20+4=21-2=19 crit!
handaxe in the neck'
1d20+2=22-4=18

I think the penalties for two-weapon fighting are -4 on the on-hand and -8 for the off-hand, if you are using a light weapon in the off-hand and don't have the feat. Not that I think that matters here, since I think you scored enough with the on-hand and got a natural 20 on the off-hand.

That's truth. -4 primary, -8 secondary with a light weapon and no feat.
Both hits stood as good and proper, though.| dungeonmaster heathy |
He drops bleeding in the dirt.
"Thankyou! Thankyou! Oh...my....oh, you are big! Are you hurt, onoes! You're bleeding!!! The rest of my benefactors are up ahead, there's some kind of scuffle!!! They have a cleric, of Pelor! Come with me, he can heal you I'd fain think!!! Wow...you're big!!!"
The girl motions you up a trail climbing a hill. Do you follow?

As all MacHammars know, the Bastard Sword is an EXOTIC weapon and requires special proficiency. Pbps, btw, are really helping me get my rules down.... You can, I believe, wield a longsword two-handed and increase you strengh bonus to 150% (rounding down).
A bastard sword is martial if used two-handed.
| dungeonmaster heathy |
Now their attacks. Two warriors swing at Stigwold, one hits and stiggy takes 5 in damage.
One warrior steps up to the druid, total miss; his sword clangs off the archway, sending a shower of gravel on the wizard.
Swertlowe looks at the horrid beetle, then at the horrid halfling, trying to ascertain the greater of two evils. He swings his tulwar at Gittik, in vain.
"Uuuh...I yield..."is all he says, as he drops his tulwar.
Out of a window on the US second/ British first floor, on the south wall of the house, a figure pokes out and fires at Beldan. The bolt hits him dead to rights in the gut, 4 h.p. in damage.
Top of the order, WOOOOOT!!!

BUT you can use a bastard sword two handed as a melee weapon proficiency (similarly with 1.5 x your strength bonus). It only requires an exotic weapon proficiency to use if you want to use it one handed.
EDIT: beaten by the halfling. Damn those guys are sneaky.

On the orc: Attack: 1d20 7=12, Damage: 1d10 4=7
You killed the orc last round. So this round you kill one of the two warriors on ye; o13 or p12 your choice.

O13, but my attack roll is only ten,in that case, losing my racial bonus.
