PDF Single File Per Chapter Password Protection

I may sound like an idiot, but something wierd seems to be happening with my Rise of the Runelords downloads. I have the full download, and they work just fine.

I set up the multi-file download for #1, #3 and #6 and they worked just fine.

#2, #4 and #5 prompted me for a password, which I didn't remember doing. I deleted them, repersonalized and redownloaded, but it did it again.

Now #1, #3 and #6 want a password as well (not that it matters since I had previously unzipped them). Is there something that I'm doing wrong? Did I enter a password before and just forget about that stage? If there is a password, why doesn't it seem to interfere with the single file download?

Any help in this matter would be appreciated. I don't really use the PDFs, so it isn't critical, but I'd at least like to try to understand what the problem is.

There's good news and bad news. The good news is that it's just you—and that's also the bad news.

The PDFs do not require a password to open.

If you're saying that your unzipping software is requiring a password, I'd suggest trying a different unzipping utility.

If you're saying that Adobe Reader is requiring a password, reinstalling Reader will probably solve the problem. I highly recommend reinstalling from a fresh download of the latest installer, which you can get for free at Adobe's site.

It's funny. It wouldn't extract the files as normal. I went into the zip folder and there was a sub-folder with the files. I was able to copy and paste them into a non-zip folder and they work just fine. But if I tried to unzip them, I got a message like "File '072-079_PZ09001 Thassilon' is password protected. Please enter the password in the box below.". If I hit cancel, it would do each one like that.

In any case, I have full access now. Strange thing.

But thanks for the assurance that it is only me.
