Last night, I finished off the session with my Players (the Oh! Cursed) arriving on the outskirts of Foxglove Manor. So I'll be spending the next week getting ready for them entering into Foxglove Manor.
While reading up on Haunts, I decided it would be interesting to give hand out index cards to the Players when they become caught up in a Haunt. I really see this as a way to limit the details of a Haunt to the Player that it deals without stepping away from the game table. I'm working this out for myself, but I'd like to suggest a web supplement where the Haunts are described in detail. Each Haunt shoul come with an index card detailing a successful Notice check.
Preferably in a cut & paste on an index card way. HINT!! And by this Saturday. HINT!!
Comments? Suggestions?

That's a pretty cool idea, and really works well to keep each PC involved without revealing too much to the other players. Good idea!
ALAS: Chances of this becoming an official web enhancement: 0%.

Yes, in basic: DO IT!
I just finished Foxglove manor with my group last night and I came to the same conclusion just before we were to begin, so I quickly grabbed a few 3x5's and wrote the basic emotions and action the player had to take. it worked SUPER.
1) When the PC went to do something, the fear of not knowing what was going on was perfect for the others.
2) After the haunt, I let the player put it into his own words, keeping me out of it and again giving it much more impact. It was much creepier that way.
Just use the basic text from the DMs description and then give the PC an order "now walk to the desk and slit your throat with the wooden shiv!"
When the paladin did that you should have seen the looks on the other players faces and the arms that shot out to grab minis on the battlemat! :-)

"there's that doll you got from that hot swamp witch, and there's the talon from that giant bird that stole your hat, and there's old Rolf's wedding ring that you really need to get back to his wife, if only you knew who she was, and there's that odd statuett of the bird-demon you found in that old temple with all the crazy natives that shot blow-darts at you, and there's the old map that you never followed up on, what could that runic symbol mean? And the Journal from that dead explorer, the one that you never found out what he was doing all the way out there, and the writ of passage for that ship you missed, and the earring of that woman that you never wrote to, and who wouldnt have been so controlling, not like that shrill harpy of a wife downstairs, and because of her you will never, ever, ever be able to leave this moldering old house, or those bratty kids, with the rising damp in the basement, and the mold everywhere, and that damn woman, who wont leave you alone, and will never let you leave again, never, ever, why wont she die, WHY WONT SHE JUST DIE!"

Jodah, I'm trying to decide if I can fit that on a 3x5.
I actually only used a small part of Jodah's post. Then I added bits of my own. Here's how it ended up:
B23: Private Study (I)
You hear the sound of pages rustling, as if a book were being read rapidly or as though a documents were being pushed aside to reach one deeper within the stack.
B23: Private Study (I)
Dozens of memories of expeditions, sea voyages, and travels to exotic locales race through your mind.
B23: Private Study (I)
You remember a desire to have traveled to the sands of Osirion, one which you fostered since first hearing the tale of the genie in the lamp as a child. Of lazily floating up the great river into the Verduran Forest and into the River Kingdoms. To see the once unrivaled city of Absalom.
B23: Private Study (I)
As the memories build momentum, they become increasingly infused with a sense of bitter disappointment and regret.
B23: Private Study (I)
Here's that old map you never followed up on... what could that runic symbol mean? And here's the journal you bought in Magnimar. It describes how to get to a ruined city of an ancient empire. The steely captain who sold it to you said he found it on the corpse of a dead explorer, while leaving the deep southern jungles. You never found out what the captain was doing all the way out there.
B23: Private Study (I)
You become increasingly aware that you are receiving memories that never were, memories of fantastic discoveries you could have made had you not chosen to settle down with a shrill harpy of a wife.
B23: Private Study (I)
That shrill harpy of a wife of yours..., because of her you will never, ever, ever be able to leave this moldering old house, or those bratty kids, with the rising damp in the basement, and the mold everywhere, and that damn woman, who wont leave you alone, and will never let you leave again, never, ever, why wont she die, WHY WONT SHE JUST DIE!"
