I think that there was something on this in a Novel Approach in some Dragon issue.

There is half-golems from the MM2 (also some additional half golem templates here.)

I do this for a living but I can't tell you about it because those darned Feds are always one step behind my associate and me, harrassing and threatening.

Spoiler:
You might want to check out "Adam" from 2E Ravenloft. Fluff-wise, everything -- EVERYTHING -- about Mordenheim and Adam is horrible. But you may find some stats or theory behind crunch; then it's just a step to translate that to 3E.

* Clone is an 8th Level spell. You might use that as a starting point

How about Mongrel"folk"?

Is there an Ecology of the Mongrelman? Or Broken One?

hmm
okay I pulled out my copy of MM2 and half golem might work. or at least come close enough. I'm surprised that someone hasn't made this before though. A more accurate created, for 3.x I mean. Cant you see a crazed wizard building his new "family"?

2nd Edition AD&D had a great resource: Van Richten's Guide to the Created. Unfortunately, it wasn't updated to 3.5.

I think Mongoose Publishing put out a book about this too as part of their Encyclopedia Arcane series, called Encyclopaedia Arcane: Constructs. I think it's 3.0, though.

Warforged are obviously not what you're looking for, but the Living Construct subtype comes immediately to mind.

Pathfinder #7 has rules for a sort of "lesser flesh golem," a CR 4 creature called a carrion golem.

There's the lifespark construct in the Advanced Bestiary as well.
