That's an excellent question, which I don't think anybody has asked before. We don't currently have such an area, but we'll talk about it.
In the meantime, feel free to tell people about your products in the D&D/d20/OGL forum!

OK, gotta chime in - anyone out there in Paizo-land that doesn't know Blackdirge and his products should ashamed!
I was a pretty hard core WotC-only kind of player/DM until I started picking up some PDFs from great small publishers. But I must say Mr. Rudel's stuff was the first I actually used!
His mechanics are the best in industry and his imagination is the doom of all players!

Since there is currently no official place to post new product announcements, is it kosher for a publisher to start a thread on a new product on the product discussion board? Or is that generally frowned upon? Or would it be okay to announce new products in the d20/OGL section?
However, I don't want to inundate either board with ad copy, since that's not the purpose of either forum. Any suggestions?

I'd suggest using the "start a discussion" link under the product in question. So long as your posts are generally more informational than advertising, I don't think anyone will have problems.
