Sean K. Reynolds has a really good book out IMO called Anger of Angels, by Malhavoc Press. It's out of print, but you can occasionally find it. It's still available as a pdf though. Angels as PCs, angel feats, angel prestige classes, items, spells and more. Very thoroughly researched and then presented.

Seconded; that is an awesome book. I also recently picked up "The Avatar's Handbook" from the Green Ronin fire sale, which looks intriguing, but haven't had a chance to really review it. And of course, Bk of Exalted Deeds among the "official" books.

Thanks, guys. I'll look for Anger of Angels, Book of Exalted Deeds will have to wait a few months. BenS, when you get a chance to check out the Avatars Handbook, let me know what you think of it.
Chris, this is just a skimming through it, but 1st things first: the Paizo sale ends tomorrow, presumably at midnight, and if this is still available for $2, it's a no-brainer.
Anyway, the book interprets an avatar more as a character class. Similar to a cleric, in casting divine spells, but similar to a specialty mage, in summoning various celestials. Obviously, a lot more types of celestials are found in the book. New creatures; new templates; a few archangels statted for the epic-level types; new spells that can be used not only for the new avatar character class, but for existing divine and arcane magic users. It's also a nice fit, thematically, w/ Green Ronin's Book of Fiends, and their Book of the Righteous.
I think it's a good book, but I happen to love the subject matter. YMMV.
