In Spire of Long Shadows, one of the prophecies speaks of several major artifacts surfacing the earth:
-Black Blade of Aknar Ratalla
-Tome of the Black Heart
-Obsidian Eye
-Dread Forge
-Bindings of Erivatius
and, of course, the Rod of Seven Parts.
Now, regarding the first 5 artifacts, I suppose they are references to previous Dungeon Adventures, but I haven't been able to find what they do or what they are.
Can anyone give a rough description for some of these?

In Spire of Long Shadows, one of the prophecies speaks of several major artifacts surfacing the earth...
Can anyone give a rough description for some of these?
Short answer: evil, evil, evil.
I don't have the magazines in front of me, but I'll try to give you an idea.
Obsidian Eye (The Obsidian Eye): a black globe, recently found in a desert ruin. It was made centuries ago by a viciously insane king who was trying to engineer his immortality (or apotheosis?).
Black Blade of Aknar Ratalla (Tomb of Aknar Ratalla): Aknar Ratalla was a warlord who declared war on faith itself, before an allience of angels and fiends took him down. His sword was buried with him.
Dread Forge (Lost Temple of Demogorgon ?): A tool for making evil magic items.
Sorry, the other two escape me. (Stupid skipping-issues local bookstore.)

The Rod of Seven Parts was a staff used by the Wind Dukes of Aquaa that was fragmented into seven pieces in a fight against demons. It originally appeared in the first edition DMG. There was a boxed set adventure centering around it in 2E, I think.
The bindings of Erivatius are from and adventure called "Quicksilver Hourglass" from a Dungeon Issue from around 117-126 or so. Erivatius was a death god who had been imprisoned in a magical trap. I think the bindings were what kept him from using his powers to escape. Check the back issues section of this website for the issue number.
