This game is a ton of fun. I demoed it extensively at PAX this year and I never got tired of playing it. :)

Is it kind of like Inn Fighting?

Vaguely. If I had to rank the two of them, I'd put RDI quite a ways up the list from Inn Fighting. A 4-player game of RDI is 45 minutes of non-stop laughter.

How kid friendly is it?

The whole point of the game is for your character to get drunk and to gamble all your opponents' gold out of their pockets. You lose by passing out or by going broke. So its level of kid-friendliness depends on how you feel about showing those kinds of things to your kids...

As for kid friendliness, the recommended age on the box is 13 and up because there are some adult themes (drinking and gambling) that being said, nothing happens in the game that would not happen in a PG movie.

I feel confident in saying that it’s fine for anyone 13 and up. My 10 year old neice did not have a problem with any of it (and wanted to play again and again, even when I kept winning).
