There are American Universities here, but I don't know what their set up is. Greek laws are pretty byzantine.
-In order to help you get a work visa here a job has to prove that they couldn't have found a Greek to do the same job. Places will still try to help you get the work visa, but it can be a hassle.
-Private Institutions of higher learning are banned by the Greek constitution. There are some, but they are mostly branches of Universities from another country who grant credits towards the affiliated University outside of Greece.
So maybe if you looked with the Hellenic American University, or the American College of Greece... there is another, but I don't know how it's spelled. Sounds like Derrie...
Well that's not a lot of help. But it's possible I'm sure.
If you meant teaching English as a foreign language, the Hellenic American Union does hire Americans for this.
