Pure speculation: Space Goblins are coming!!!

Building the case that we WILL see Space Goblins as a playable race.

1) Looking at First Contact, there are 4 alien races having Racial Traits block for making characters.

2) Of those 4, 3 are legal races if a player has a boon. The Contemplative was a charity boon, of which only 2 exist. The Haan and Sarcesian are GM boons. Not sure how many of those were taken, I know I am taking a Haan.

3) This leaves the Space Goblin as having a Racial Traits block.

THEREFORE,

Space Goblin will become available for play at a future date.

Alternatively, a future GM reward.

Given that all three are GM rewards, that is how I see it happening.

Or maybe as part of the Regional Support Program.

That was my point. They are unlikely to be part of the Regional Support, because Regional Support is adding legacy races, not goblins.

No idea if it will actually be a SFS legal race.

However, Alien Archives (aka Starfinder Beastiary I) comes out in October. I would be surprised if the Starfinder "space goblins" are not in there, especially if it is similar to Pathfinder Beastiary I in and of that it would contain a lot of the more commonly encountered races and what not.

Alien Archive is also supposed to have over 20 player compatible races, though I suspect few if any will be legal when the book comes out (again, if it follows the general flow of PFS).

It will however be insane for folks wanting to play the AP. Especially if they stat the space goblins for PC use. They did it for gobbos in PF Beastiary I.

I dont think we'll get them as player boons. But if we dont get a we be space goblins, Ill be very disappointed.
