The module states
The shaded planks all lead to a piling that is not structurally sound. If a Medium or larger character steps onto one of these planks, the piling collapses, dropping anyone on a shaded plank down into the water below.
Firstly - which piling is the one that is not structurally sound? On my map, none of the planks are "shaded".
Secondly - doesn't this mean that this trap will never catch more than one PC? The moment the first character steps on a plank - kabloie. It would make more sense for the piling to break if two characters are on the planks. Or one half ogre.

You want to kill your chars? The damage the weapons in the water do is insane and the one character who falls will probably die quickly, additonally the invisible stalkers make it even harder..alhtough that could be a very anticlimactic battle if your PCs do not have see invisible by any chance...the stalkers have 10ft reach, so noone could even guess where they are, they are flying, so noone can really reach them.
And do you really think your players would even fall for the trap? Mine didn't, just too obvious. The maps are not very clear, I think the direct way is trapped, the longer is safe.
Hope I could help.

My players smashed a hole in the wall and avoided the entire area. Though they did think there was something in there. Next time I run this I am going to make them think there is something of value across the room.
Thanks for the tip. I might reduce the spot check for that wand, and put it under that bit of floor over in the far corner

Well, our charactrs are pretty tough. We are playing "whiffle-ball" rules for levelling up - if you roll less than half hp, then roll until you get half or more. So far no-one has died, and everyone keeps saying this is supposed to be a moderately fatal campaign. Bah, humbug! We are on the fourth module, and still my came is a twink game!
