If things go as planned, one of my PCs is going to challenge Mayor Kendra to single combat. I doubt it's going to come to that, and if it does Mayor Kendra is going to decline, but I'm going to make a stat block regardless.
That is, unless anyone else has already written one . . . ?

Wait....what? I don't think the mayor would fight him, and there would be serious repercussions for threatening the mayor.
What has led to your PC wanting to fight Kendra?
She (the PC) is a savage who thinks that single combat (not necessarily to the death) is an honorable way to settle differences. I'm not talking murder, just something more along the lines of sparring. I don't think it's even going to come to that, but I'm going to have a stat block prepared anyway. The mayor would easily win, I'm sure. :)

Ahh...I see. Could make for an interesting roleplaying encounter.
Ultimately, I still don't think Kendra would throw down with her.
It might make for a wakeup call for this PC, as to the differences between civilization and the wild.
Could be very cool though...keep us posted.

I'd suggest having Kendra select Sheriff Hemlock as her champion. If your PC is a super traditional Shoanti, this could even add another layer of roleplaying cool to it, since Hemlock is a "civilized" Shoanti who's kinda turned his back on his people's traditions in order to become a Sheriff of a town.
Kendra may be higher level, but she got that way with her tongue and wits, not with her muscles.

I like it! The PCs have been slandered in front of the sheriff and mayor and I'm looking for a way for them to earn the regard they deserve. Maybe something like this where everyone respects each other's cultures could help.

She's a Birdcruncher, but thanks for the idea! Maybe they're familiar with some Shoanti customs. They already participated in something similar when Big Gugmut came and challenged their chief in order to secure Birdcruncher participation in Ripnugget's schemes. (The chief was already injured and needed a champion.)
