LB1 and LB2 / Last Baron Modules

What does Last Baron means?

Is it the next "Darkmoon Vale" location where you'll have many different modules happen and want them to have the same tag? (instead of having D0, D1 and E1 with no indication that they're linked at first sight)

Or a new "sub-line" for a certain type of Modules?

Please enlighten us!

The LB modules tie together. They are not the "new" Darkmoon Vale, since they will in fact take place in the Darkmoon Vale region. All of the LB modules follow each other and can be linked to form a campaign arc, but they also work well as stand-alones.

Sovereign Court

How many in an campaign arc? Three?

Resurrecting this thread because I have a question about these modules. The LB modules are fascinating and I'm planning to run them together, but would like some advice on what to run BEFORE LB1. Maybe one or two (even three) adventures that would lead into LB1.
Thanks in advance for your advice!

Liberty's Edge

I don't have anything useful to add to the conversation, and for that I apologize. However, this is some of the most epic thread resurrection I have ever seen... more than six years dead.

Ha! I guess you're right. I have been researching 3.5 adventures for a couple of months. At first I just wanted to run a single adventure, then I visited Paizo for the first time in a long time and just did a search for 3.5 material. Came across the modules, which are on an incredible discount, and noticed the LB1 and LB2 modules had high reviews and were set in the same realm (Andoran) as the Darkmoon Vale material. Another search on these modules brought me to this thread (among others). So yeah - six years!

Liberty's Edge

I'm pretty sure this sets some kind of record. lol

From what I gather the LB modules were planned to be a bit longer of a series but the game really expanded pretty quickly and then rolled over to its own rule set. You are pretty safe buying just about anything Paizo has published because their content is consistently good.

Certainly seems like you could run most of the Falcon's Hallow modules and follow them up with these... Hmm... might be some leveling issues, depending on the group.

Hollow's Last Hope - 1st level
Crown of the Kobold King - 2nd level
Revenge of the Kobold King - 5th level
Carnival of Tears - 5th level
Tower of the Last Baron - 5th level
Hungry are the Dead - 6th level
Treasure of Chimera Cove - 7th level

Revenge is short, so you might be able to cram that in as your "3rd-4th" level one - tough but should power level the group a bit to be ready for the rest (maybe).

Basically this, it follows the other modules that occur in Darkmoon Vale (which I believe the others do).

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Great stuff, fellers! Thanks!
Just purchased several of the modules in print at 2 bucks each!
