Female Elf Druid 2

Swiftly Vraelyn unleashes her prepared arrow at the evil spawn.

Ranged Attack (1d20+2=22)
Crit Confirmation (1d20+2=22)
Damage (2d6=9)

Male Elf (Crying Leaf) Transmuter 1

Talacyst warily eyes the creature, cursing their luck at finding another one of the resilient things. He peers ahead, trying to identify the skeleton-like thing it was carrying...

Spot check. (1d20 3=17)Can I make it out?
Initiative, if you need it. (1d20 3=8)

Male Halfling Rogue/3

Seeing the creature the halflings raises his croosbow, and let's a bolt fly.

Attack 1d20+6=20; Damage 1d8=1, WTH!; Initiative 1d20+4=18

Liberty's Edge

As one they enter the room and unleash a hatred of evil on the thing. It barely has time to think as it takes an arrow in the chest, a bolt in the leg and then a very large elf pounds it with a very big axe ending its life, it never stood a chance. Talacyst peers at the bones the creature was pulling, its hard to tell what manner of creature it was in life but from the size it might have been human at one time. The room goes quiet as the thing dies slowly toppling over onto the ground. The party stands on the wooden platform over looking the room except for Blackleaf who is down below with the dead creature(about ten feet below). Blackleaf can see clearly into many of the cells containing similar skeletons in each. The rickety wooden walkway above the room leads off to the east down a corridor...

"Talam, see anything of interest?"

Male Halfling Rogue/3

The halfing peer around the room looking for anything of interest.

search 1d20+7=20

Male Elf Ranger { Skirmisher} 1

Feeling raising anger in him blackleaf starts down the corridor, axe at ready

Female Elf Druid 2

Spotting Blackleaf storming off Vraelyn swiftly moves to follow him. Silently stalking after the elf with the shortfuse she notches a new arrow and keeps her eyes and ear peeled.

Male Elf (Crying Leaf) Transmuter 1

Talacyst stays close to Vraelyn, who has more than proven herself in the recent battles. He keeps his bow drawn, keeping near the back of the group.

Oh, detect evil, again to search for immediate enemies.

Liberty's Edge

Talam takes a moment to look around the room a little closer and finds nothing of interest except for more skeletons in each cell. Blackleaf heads out down the corridor followed by the rest as Etienne casts about for evil. He senses that they are heading the right way towards their goal, evil is ahead. After 20 feet you enter another room that contains several ancient relics of what appear to be torture implements, although their function and style seem strange and archaic. In one corner sits a spherical cage with spikes protruding inward from its iron bars. In another stands waht appears to be a star-shaped woodem frame, its surface studded with hooks. And in the center of the room is a long table coverd with leather straps and a number of cranks that seem designed to rotate and swivel. You are still facing east, there is a door on the south wall and a door on the east wall.....

To repeat...

"We're on the right direction."

Male Halfling Rogue/3

"So the door to the east, or the door to the south?" He smirks. "If I had my way I'd say the east. Good things come from the east, but than I'm not the one with 'magic eyes'." Talam looks up at Etienne.

Male Elf Ranger { Skirmisher} 1

' which way is the evil?" Blackleaf asks impatiently

Liberty's Edge

Etienne points at both doors saying evil can be felt from each.

Male Halfling Rogue/3

"Both doors. Now that's a problem", he ponders. "Anyone have any ideas, if not I say we start east."

"Let's the take the right door."

Male Halfling Rogue/3

"Alrighty", Talam opens his poket and removes his tools. "Lets check it shall we"

Search 1d20+7=19; Disable if there is anything [/urlhttp://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1847404/ ]1d20+6=10[/url]

Liberty's Edge

Talam sets to work on the door and has no problem unlocking it. He finds nothing of danger of the lock or the door for that matter. Peering in you see the crumbling remnants of several chairs and a long table clutter the floor of this room. To the south stand three doors, each bearing a strange symbol that resembles a seven pointed star...

Male Halfling Rogue/3

"More door....ugh", Talam's shoulders fall at the sight of the doors.

"I get feeling someone has it out for me." He points to the heavens.

Female Elf Druid 2

Vraelyn gives Talacyst the slightest of smiles as she stands beside the other elven archer, actually starting to take a leaf from his book and letting others take the lead for the time being.

As the group finds the room with the three doors she watches Blackleaf closely, her expression sympathetic as she watches his mounting frustration.

Liberty's Edge

Taking a look around the room quickly through the rubble you spot fragments of countless books and scrolls with bits of spiky writing in a strange language all of them. Being careful as you look behind each stone door you see a single skeleton laying in a heap of bones. Each little room seems to once be a prison cell. Each skeleton has odd shapes to them from stunted legs to three arms to one with a ribcage that goes all the way down to its pelvis. There is no way out of this area but the way you came in............................

Male Elf (Crying Leaf) Transmuter 1

Talacyst takes a moment to leaf through a few books and to examine the unusual skeletons before the group moves on.

Can I discover anything about what this room was used for from the books or the skellies?

Male Elf Ranger { Skirmisher} 1

with a exasperated breath blackleaf turns and marches back down the hall not slowing until after he is thought the other door.

Liberty's Edge

By the looks of things Talacyst figures this to be an ancient library, most of the stuff is old and worthless, only fragments of things here and there. Upon searching around more closely through the torn up pages of papers you find an intact scroll under a broken chair. The writing on it seems strange and archaic.

Not waiting for the others Blackleaf goes through the other door and finds himself heading down a 30 foot stairwell which enters into a large room. The ceiling of this strangely cold chamber arches to a vaulted height of twenty feet. The floor contains eleven wooden lids strewn haphazardly over eleven five foot wide pits in the ground. From the darkness within these pits echo up strange shuffling sounds and every so often, a low moan.......

Male Halfling Rogue/3

The young halfling takes a moment to relax. "So where to next?"

He looks up to Etienne.

"Let's follow him," Etienne points to the barbarian. "He might need our help."

Liberty's Edge

The rest of the party catches up to Blackleaf and sees the eleven lids covering eleven pits. You also hear the shuffling sounds and low moans from the room. Etienne senses evil in the room. The room is about 45 feet long by 25 feet. Along the south wall you see a passageway that leads out of the room where more evil can be sensed by Etienne as a creature steps out of it. It looks to be once a goblin gone terribly wrong; its deformed body has four arms, three carrying weapons and two small legs coming out of its head. It screams at the intruders and begins to charge. Very loud wails start to come from all of the pits...........

Male Halfling Rogue/3

"Oh...well this can't be good"

Initiative 1d20+4=15

Male Halfling Rogue/3

bump

Male Elf (Crying Leaf) Transmuter 1

Talacyst takes a brief moment to adjust to the low lighting before swinging into action.
1d20+3=18 for Initiative. I'm going to delay until Etienne or Blackleaf can get into combat with the creature if I'd end up before them.
And... HELL yes! I was just accepted to my top two colleges. ^_^ Among other things, this means that I can take it easier now and have more time to post. Sorry for neglecting things here during crunch time.

"Iomedae protects!"

Male Halfling Rogue/3

Bump, come on all

Male Elf (Crying Leaf) Transmuter 1

Just pokin' my head in... already rolled for initiative, see above.

Liberty's Edge

Sorry for the delay this week, I got laid off this week and have been focusing on looking for a job. My company did offer a position 2 steps lower than I was so it looks like I am going to have to take it since there is not much out there at the moment. Weird thing is the money will stay the same. Anyway here we go.....

Etienne and the beast charge each other at the same time, Etienne proves to be the quicker and strikes first, his weapon sinking deep into the flesh of the evil beast. The goblin looking thing lashes its own sword at its opponent nicks Etienne in the arm but does not draw blood. Blackleaf follows in but misses his attack on the creature with his big axe!

Talacyst and Talam actions please! And Talacyst, late congrats for being accepted to the schools! Good Luck with your choice!

Male Halfling Rogue/3

Talam dives into combat. Bobbing and weaving, he tries to flank the beast.

Tumble 1d20+4=21; Attack 1d20+3=14. 16 if flanking; Damage 1d4+1=3

"Strike all of you! The beast must be brought down!"

Liberty's Edge

With all of the action above going on the moaning increases from all of the cages in the floor. The doors to each rattle as the occupants try to escape from there confines.

Talam dashes across the room and tumbles past the nasty goblin thing and slices it in the leg causing the beast to cry out in pain...

Ok all we need is Talacyst's action! Go ahead and post your action though and Talacyst post for this round and the new round! Next Round!

Male Halfling Rogue/3

Talam continues working on the beast, but cocks his head at the sound coming from the cage floors.

"I'm not liking the sound coimuing up from there"

Attack 1d20+3=14, 1d20+3=12; Damage 1d4+1=3, SA 1d6=1, 1d4+1=5, SA 1d6=3

Male Elf (Crying Leaf) Transmuter 1

Last round:
Talacyst leans around the bulky frame of Etienne in order to line up a shot on the creature. He releases the arrow with a brief prayer.
1d20+4=10, 1d6=6

New round:
Angry at the continued poor results from his archery, the mage deftly makes an arcane sign with his right hand, whispering words of magic as he attempts to incapacitate the beast.

Going for Daze on the creature. DC 13 Will save if it's under 4 HD and a Humanoid or loses a round of actions. If anything it might clue us in as to if this thing is a Magical Beast or a Humanoid or what...

Liberty's Edge

Talacyst fires off a shot at the creature but misses as he bumps Etienne as he moves around him to get the shot.

The goblin creature swings its sword at the nearest person, hitting Etienne across the chest(6 hps dam). Seeing Etienne stagger back from the blow, Talacyst calls for his arcane might and launches a spell at the creature. The beast hesitates for a second but shakes off the effects of the attempted spell. While the creature pauses thou Talam swings away at it missing with one but the second hits the thing. The thing stays standing and draws back its sword for another attack.....

A loud noise from the other side of the room can be heard by all as two of the cage doors burst forth and creatures begin to climb out of them.....

Male Halfling Rogue/3

"See I knew those souds weren't going to be good"

In case the thing is still standing on my turn. Attack 1d20+1=21, CRIT; Confirm 1d20+1=14, if a crit Damage 1d4+1=6, SA 1d6=4; Attack 2 1d20+1=3, doubt I need to roll damage on this one.

Male Elf (Crying Leaf) Transmuter 1

Am I right in thinking that my Daze was my action for this round?

Liberty's Edge

This should be a new round for you to act in so go ahead and roll.

I rolled pretty high on the will save so he was able to shake it off of course. I've been rolling good on saves lately but my attacks have been suckly!!!

I have a feeling it might be just the two of you left here playing(Talam and Talacyst). I might need to get us some more players to join!
I'll keep this battle small until we get more help for you!
