Male Elf (Crying Leaf) Transmuter 1

Talacyst makes a foul face at the recent run of bad luck. Offering a silent prayer to Irori as he adjusts for a better position, he asks that he will learn from these mistakes. With that he steels himself and fires another arrow.

Shoots once more. (1d20 4=21, 1d6=5) Finally!

Male Halfling Rogue/3

"Let's try that again", Talam says as he tries to flank the nearest beast again.

Make my way around the beasty, try to avoid the AoO. Tumble 1d20+4=24

As he makes his way around the beast he slashes at it's leg.

Attack 1d20+2=23, Crit!; Confirm 1d20+3=7 ;Damage 1d4+1=2 Ugh!; If I manage to get to my flanking, SA 1d6=2

Liberty's Edge

An arrow races out of Talacyst's bow and hits one of the creatures in the chest, it takes little notice as it swings its claws at Vraelyn connecting with one, raking her in the arm(4 hps dam). The large elf charges into the fray and swings his mighty axe at the creature with the arrow sticking out of its chest, his attack misses hitting the wall instead in the close quarters of this hallway. Talam tumbles under the swing of the axe and past the creature, he lashes out at its leg and cuts the thing making it stumbles forward......

Next round! Etienne's up first, everyone state your actions and make your attacks!

Male Halfling Rogue/3

"Tag", Talam says. His ever present grin on his face.

If the monster I'm still attacking is up on my turn, Attack 1d20+1=21, +2 for flanking; Attack 1d20+1=16, +2 for flanking; Damage 1d4+1=4, +6 SA; Damage 1d4+1=2, +2 SA

Atk; Dmg (1d20+5=15, 1d8+2=6)

Etienne attacks the creature with a backhanded slash.

Male Elf (Crying Leaf) Transmuter 1

Growing frustrated at the creature's persistence, Talacyst fires once more at the unnatural thing. The enclosed fighting conditions aren't helping him draw a bead, and he fires as best he can, hoping for the best.
Shooting once more. (1d20 4=14, 1d6=1)

Liberty's Edge

Etienne rushes out and passes the wounded Vraelyn makes a backhanded slash at the one of the creatures and connects slicing the beast across one of its arms.Vraelyn's turn here Talacyst fires another arrow at the thing again in the chest, now with two arrows sticking out of it but still standing. It lashes out at its new foe, Etienne, razor sharp claws dripping with evil miss him, the arrows in its chest getting in the way. The other creature lunges out at Blackleaf who is standing in front of it trying to get his axe out of the wall. It has a hard time moving forward with its attack though, the slash on its leg causing its attack to come up short. Blackleaf's turn here Talam makes another attack from behind damaging its other leg, it sways back and forth but somehow remains standing.Unless Blackleaf can damage it!

Male Elf Ranger { Skirmisher} 1

Sorry Samhain preparation made me forget to post up last night

The enlarged blackleaf bellows in rage as he attacks the thing with a primal scream.

Sadly you're not large.. lost the spell when the thing shrieked.

Male Elf Ranger { Skirmisher} 1

well the if large was if the thing is large, I have a feat that does extra hit and damage if a critter is large. I does change my damage however.

14 new damage not bad. I do 16 if it is large

Liberty's Edge

Blackleaf tries again with his axe after getting unstuck from the wall. His axe connects this time and finishes off the beast with the help from Talam.

Vraelyn gets her attack if she wants, one creature still stands and is face to face with Etienne. Next round!

Female Elf Druid 2

Yet again Vraelyn's attack flies wide, bringing a lkook of frustration to the elven woman's face.

Ranged attack (1d20+2=11)

Male Elf (Crying Leaf) Transmuter 1

Talacyst's eyes narrow in frustration - or was it anger? He is unaccustomed to these strong emotions, and is unable to calm himself enough to aim properly.

Please hit. (1d20 4=12, 1d6=3)... or not.

Liberty's Edge

Last round action
Vraelyn launches another arrow trying to take careful aim so as not to hit Etienne in the process. She is successful in not hitting Etienne but also misses the creature, her luck must change soon she hopes.....

Current round
Reminder Init order
Etienne
Vraelyn
Talacyst
Beast
Blackleaf
Talam

Male Elf (Crying Leaf) Transmuter 1

See the above post, I got eager :)

Female Elf Druid 2

Vraelyn's poor luck continues, she starts to believe that it's some sort of curse for trying to work alongside others for a change.

Ranged Attack (1d20+2=4)

Male Halfling Rogue/3

Talam once again tries to tumble past the monster and flank it.

Tumble 1d20+4=24; Attack 1d20+3=19(21 if flanking); Damage 1d4+1=4; SA if flanking 1d6=2

Male Elf Ranger { Skirmisher} 1

Still raging and seeing read blackleaf slams into the closest foe with his ax.

sigh 11 and 13

sorry man i thought i was caught up

Liberty's Edge

Arrows go flying by the creature from both of the elves. The creature tries again to claw one of the heroes but comes up short. The elven barbarian and the halfling attacking the thing in tandum somehow finish off the beast leaving the group in the hallway trying to catch their breaths from the fight. Your all about 10-15 feet away from the doorway into the room where the foul well is located and you can see the door on the other side of it..........

Male Elf (Crying Leaf) Transmuter 1

Phew, finally.
Talacyst takes a moment to catch his breath, leaning against the wall. As the group recovers, he takes the time to get a closer look at the corpses.
Is there anything else I can figure out about these things, and are they carrying anything that would be useful?

Female Elf Druid 2

Vraelyn gives a frustrated sigh as she moves to recollect her arrows, carefully checking each one to see if they're reusable or not, her survival instincts as ever at the fore. She avoids eyecontact with the others, ashamed that she was unable to dispatch of the creatures by herself.

Liberty's Edge

Bending down Talacyst is assulted by death, decay and evil causing his belly to rumble in protest. He searches around and finds nothing on the beasts except rotted clothing. While he is doing that, Vraelyn gathers up her spent arrows and finds them in good shape for future use. The area is quiet except for the water in the evil well splashing around. You all stand around in the darkness catching your breaths for the next few moments before moving out again.............

Male Halfling Rogue/3

Talam slowly sticks his head in doorway, "I think I'll look before I go in this time"

Listen 1d20+6=17; Spot uurl=http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1816289/ ]1d20+4=16

Female Elf Druid 2

Feeling strange at being part of a group once more Vraelyn watches carefully as Talacyst examines the bodies, notching an arrow she covers the fallen creatures, almost as though expecting them to get up again.

Male Elf Ranger { Skirmisher} 1

Black leaf pants and fatigue hits him as he rage leaves. Panting heavy he takes in the scene and shakes the gore from his ax. And waits to see where to next

Male Elf (Crying Leaf) Transmuter 1

Talacyst straightens from the bodies quickly, shaking his head because he is unwilling to risk opening his mouth.
Doesn't look like there's much more to do here. Where next, folks?

Female Elf Druid 2

Vraelyn watches Talacyst with a small curious frown before moving onwards, following the halfling she covers him with her bow as he looks and listens for more hostile creatures.

Liberty's Edge

Talam pops his head through the door having no problems opening it moments ago. He sees a flight of spiral stairs winding up around a circular pillar into the darkness. The stairs start one step into the room, nothing else is in the room but darkness, dust and small particles of debris littering the stairs........

Male Halfling Rogue/3

"Looks clear, but who knows." Talam motions for the others. "To dark for me to see any further."

Female Elf Druid 2

Vraelyn gives a small nod at Talam's words and moves ahead of the halfling, lightly stalking up the stairs.

Liberty's Edge

The group begins to climb the spiral stairs for about 20 feet until it dead ends in a mass of rocks and debris. You can feel a slight draft coming through some of the rocks making a whistling sound as it blows through. Everything else is quiet and nothing of interest can be seen here......

Male Halfling Rogue/3

"Hmm, wrong way? Maybe we missed something"

Male Elf (Crying Leaf) Transmuter 1

Does it look like we can shift some of the rocks to get through?

Liberty's Edge

It looks like a big job but you think you could get through the rubble

Male Elf Ranger { Skirmisher} 1

"Do we dig or look for another way?"

Female Elf Druid 2

"I believe the more sensible course is to explore elsewhere first. If there is something behind the rubble they will need to dig through to reach us. Never leave your back unguarded"

Male Elf (Crying Leaf) Transmuter 1

Talacyst nods. "You are indeed wise in exploration, Vraelyn. Let us backtrack before spending time here."

I apologize for not posting as often as I should.

"A moment friends," Etienne uses his divinely inspired senses to detect evil in the direction of the rubble.

Liberty's Edge

The party takes a moment as Etienne uses his divine power to check the area out. He seeks out and discovers nothing in the direction he was searching. He informs the group of his findings so you all move out back in the direction you came, heading past the evil well, down the small flights of stairs until you get back into the room with the red marble statue. The room as four entrances, the one you originally entered into the dungeon(west), the one you just came from(east), there is a door to the north and a passageway to the south.....

Female Elf Druid 2

Without even pausing in her stride Vraelyn heads onwards and along the northen passageway, bow always at the ready.

Liberty's Edge

Does she go through the door?

Female Elf Druid 2
Zoomackulas Eichendar wrote:

She'll listen briefly at it, and will head through if she hears nothing. If she hears something she'll indicate to the others to be ready before opening it!

Listen (1d20+7=25)

Liberty's Edge

As Vraelyn listens to the door she can hear a scrapping noise coming from the other side, like something being dragged along the floor.

Female Elf Druid 2

Vraelyn waves to the others to make sure they're paying attention and ready before flinging the door open, hoping to get the element of surprise or at least if they're hostile to sttack whilst they're busy dragging things around.

Male Halfling Rogue/3

Talam quickly, and quietly approaches the door. He loads a bolt into his crossbow and waits for the others.

Male Halfling Rogue/3

Check the door for traps 1d20+7=10; If I any 1d20+6=17

Talam tries to quickly check the doors for any traps before opening it.

Male Elf Ranger { Skirmisher} 1

Blackleaf moves close behind Vraelyn all to ready to unlesh his ax and fury upon the things behind that door.

Liberty's Edge

The group is poised to enter the room, Talam checks the door for traps and to see if it is locked. He finds it to be a normal unlocked door with no funny business about it. The door opens easily and your group proceeds into the room. This large chamber was obviously once a prison, as testified by the nearly two dozen cells that line the room's perimeter. A rickety wooden platform overlooks the room, with two flights of stairs decending to the prison floor ten feet below. A five foot walkway runs from the northern edge of the platform to a passageway to the east. You are on the platform and can see on of those sinspawn creatures on the floor below dragging something that resembles a skeleton of some sort. It notices you enter and stops dropping its load.............

Male Elf Ranger { Skirmisher} 1

Just how many do we see? If just one see below

With a yell blackleaf charges down the stairs and brings his ax down on the creature with an overhand chop

Hit 24, damage 12

Liberty's Edge

Just the one!
