Just wondering ran D0 over the weekend for a bunch of semi-experienced characters. Used a mix of iconics and my own 25 point array characters.
Started out with:
Human Ranger
Human Fighter
Human Cleric
Seoni.
They were doing well, until they hit the witches hut. The cauldron made painful work of Seoni and the cleric, and dropped the ranger to 0 HP.
When they reach the monestary the party was supplimented by:
Dwarven Cleric of Torag
Human sorcerer
The Darkmantles dropped the cleric to -9 befire they stablized him, and the worg dropped the human ranger to -8 and killed the sorceror.
3 characters in roughly 3 hours of gaming. Anyone else have a good sized kill list?
Amusing thing is, I ran a bit of it earlier for a younger group (8-12 year olds) and they were kicking large amounts of tail. I think I made a convert out of the 9 year old. She won a set of dice for being the best player, and kept her rogue's character sheet. At one point whne I called her a thief she replied all indignant "I'm not a THIEF! I'm a ROGUE!

I'm running D0 for my new group - a couple of guys who haven't played since 2E - to get them warmed up for Burnt Offerings. They have cleared most of Droskar's Crucible, and next session will step into the worg's lair.
The party is: human ranger, human cleric, halfling rogue, Valeros.
No fatalities, but the cauldron took the halfling rogue down to -2. Later, it came down to a single die roll for the ranger to save himself and the rogue from the last darkmantle.
I thought the cauldron was a great idea for a monster, while the rogue's player raised an eyebrow and said "you gotta be kidding me" when I described the construct coming to life. A few rounds later, inside the belly of the creature, he stopped making Beauty and the Beast jokes and started getting nervous.

Well one might argue the cleric's death was self inflicted. He threw the witch at it, then tried to hide behind the ranger. I figured it would target him and it spent a couple of rounds and bad dice rolls trying to overrun the ranger. Finally it chomped the ranger, then swallowed the cleric.
That Hardness 5 is a bear. Magic Missile hurt it the most, which is why it went after the sorcerer (I think MM would ignore Hardness, didn't bother to look it up).
Amusing moment with the adults. When they encountered the two wolves the sorcerer looked at his sheet and said "Magic Missile won't stop it! I don't have any spells!" I said "Check your sheet." He went "I have dancing lights, detect magic, ray of frost, read magic, magic missle and sleep. *pause* Wait, I have sleep!"

I doubt your players mind the mistake. ;)
Nor do I...
Though if I run it for kids, I'm going to go to a doll house store and get a large (doll sized) bucket to use for the mini.
That way when they kill it, I can tell them "You kicked the bucket."
