Multiclass and feats

3.5/d20/OGL

Can someone who decides to multiclass as a fighter get the bonus feat that fighters usually get when they start at 1st lvl. In the PH it says that multiclass can get feats every 3 character lvl but does not say anything about bonus feats.

Yes they do. The fighter "bonus" feats are basically the class abilities of being a fighter.

All Characters earn a Feat slot every 3 levels regardless of class, race, multi-class or whatever. These "Character Feats" are in addition to any "Class Bonus" Feats they might receive for being a Fighter, Wizard and so forth.

Humans also get a "Racial Bonus" Feat at 1st level. Basically, if you're a Human Fighter, you acquire a feat for almost every level.

Well, not even basically, they ARE the class abilities of the fighter class.

But in response to the OP, yes, when you take your first level of fighter (regardless of character level), you get a fighter bonus feat. (And likewise at Fighter 2, 4, etc).
