Can I start my pathfinder sub in Oct. ?

I was trying to order a Pathfinder subscription, but I think the shopping cart started me at #1, which I've already bought. Do I have to call the Paizo order line to start at #2? Or is there a way do it online?
Also I think James Jacobs said during the Pathfinder panel at Gencon that you would be able to buy Pathfinder at Borders, but I have'nt seen it there yet.

When you check out, you'll be able to specify whether you want to start with the current volume (that would be #2 right now) or the next (currently #3).

You might have to ask your Borders to special order it for you.

As for Borders, i had hoped to find it there. But if I'm going to have to ask them to order it anyway. Might as well ask at my FLGS.

Having been an employee of Borders recently, special orders clerk. Borders does not currently carry the first two Pathfinder books in store (They never assigned it one of their item numbers, nor is it being distributed from their warehouses). However, they are able to special order it for you. But, it can be tedious, as they go through Diamond Book Distributors for ordering. And every single time I've had to order through them, I've had issues (Being put on hold for far too long, them not being able to search by titles, etc...). I was able to order several copies of Pathfinder 1 for the store I worked at.

This being said, they do have item numbers for Pathfinder 3 and beyond, I believe. So it's likely that they'll be getting stock of those.

Also a note for Paizo. ((Books in Print has a typo for some of your Pathfinder series. They are listing some of them as "Pathfiner" last I checked.))

Having said this, I'd recommend purchasing directly from Paizo, or your local gaming store anyways. They need the support much more than a large bookstore does.
