Born March 15 1927, in Sadow, Poland. Edmund Jelito grew up on a farm in Poland. As a young man he fought in WW2 , was wounded in combat 3 times. All three times were a blessing as the platoon he was with was wiped out to the last man each time while he lay in a military hospital.
After the war he a young woman named Otylia, they fell in love and soon they were married. The newlywed Jelitos, moved in to a homestead, on a government sponsored farm, where they lived with his mother, sister and her husband. They had two children Andrew and Renata. To make ends meet Edmund worked on the farm with the rest of the family, and at night he worked on the railroad. While his mother and Daughter sold home made Icecream from a wagon in the eveings. In 1963 with $363 to their names they sailed to the U.S. where they started a new life. Once his children moved out on their own Edmund and Otylia moved back to Poland because his mother wanted to be buried with his father in the old country. Where they lived together until Sept. 27, 2007 when after 5 hard years of his body painfully betrayed him he God finally called him home to rest. Two days before this he cried because of the pain he was in; he cried, a man who did not shed a tear when wounded in battle. Nor when he broke his leg kicking a ratiator while he slept. The pain was that unbearable. It was a blessing that this brave, kind ,and gentle man
no longer suffer. He will be sorely missed.

I love you Grandpa.

Our Father who art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who have trespassed against us
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil
For yours is the kingdom, and the power and the glory forever.
Amen.
