I'm still not entirely sure of the events that lead up to Part One, but I think I'm mostly on top of things. This is how I see the final week before the scenario begins.
Construction on the cathedral is in its final stages, probably with a million different last-minute details needing finishing up. The dwarfish magically-assisted construction workers are on their way out, and the main contractor (from Magnimar?) is tearing out what remains of his hair doing all the things that always need doing during the last week of any enormous project.
The people of Sandpoint are gearing up for the arrival of whatever dignitaries are showing up for the festival. Shopkeepers are making sure that their shelves are stocked, tavern owners are putting in extra kegs, and the mayor is trying to keep trouble from showing. (I'm not sure how the Sczarni are preparing.)
Ripnugget is busy consolidating control over all five goblin tribes. He's sending champions (Big Gugmut? Brunkel?) to the other four tribes and making sure that they understand that it's necessary to work together for the upcoming project. He's smuggling goblins into areas near the town so that they can all swarm in simultaneously from different directions. His broken arm is healing.
Tsuto is showing up in Sandpoint to blackmail his father, presumably after checking out the basement of the glassworks. He's carrying his sketchbook around with him, and probably making as many visits back to Thistletop as he can to see Nualia.
Malfeshnekor is waiting impatiently. He gives dreams to anyone who sleeps in Thistletop and succeeds at a Wisdom check (DC 20).
Erylium is bossing around Koruvus and reading her favourite book.
Lamashtu is paying attention elsewhere and not interfering personally in these events.
Nualia is working on getting deeper into Thistletop. Perhaps she's this is about when she gets past the trap in E3.
Does this sound right? Have I missed anything?
