Wow. Good luck. Beautiful spot, but better for fishing than D&D as a primary hobby, I should think. Used to do lots of hiking above Markleeville when I lived in CA. Now, unfortunately, I'm back east. Say hello to the Sierras for me!
Ya, definitely a place for people who enjoy the outdoors. I used to drive through Markleeville on my way to and from college at UC Davis, that's another beautiful place.
Growing up my friends and I used to backpack into the mountains with 70lb packs for a short 3 day stay...mainly because our D&D books weighed so much!

Good evening!
This is a little unusual I know, but I found your email address on an old Paizo message board from 2007. I am a travel nurse coming to Bishop in about a month and your message board popped up when I googled "Bishop, CA DnD."
I thought I'd reach out to see if you had any pointers for local DnD games looking for a player or a place like a local library or game shop where I could start looking. I know this is odd, but it never hurts to ask, right? I also have DM'd a few sessions if you know anyone looking for a low key one shot.
Happy adventuring!
