Forgotten Realms Dungeon Crawl World -what should I be?

3.5/d20/OGL

I have to get something ready for tuesday nights new game but cant think straight. From what I've heard this game is gonna be mostly combat based and "harsh". Its based in the underdark of faerun. Prior experience with this GM tells me we can expect undead, difficult encounters and maybe a "stingy on the players/low magic" deal. Bloody knuckles gaming at its best I hope. After a plethora of spell casters and rogues I am looking for something else to excite me.

Theres four players (including meself) and the guys are pretty good as a team (most of the time). We have a first level gnome bard, first level human dragonfire adept and a human cleric (warrior priest of Tempus) so I want something to round out the party but not rogue or another spellcaster. Having already got a personality pinned down I just need to sort out my race n class.

Ta in advance.

Are you using regional feats, and what region are the characters from if you are? I'm thinking a dwarven barbarian from a clan that has a battlerager tradition would be a good round out for the party. Depending on if you want to play the character as a little bit "touched."
