I've not seen anything to indicate it's been discussed, so here goes. I think it would be nice to pick up the Planet Stories books as pdfs, much like the Pathfinder and Gamemastery books. I understand rights to do this might be much trickier than the products that paizo has written, but it would be nice. Frankly, I don't want every announced book in paperback, but I would buy a pdf for 6 or 8 bucks of many of them.
Another thing that would be nice is a downloadable sample chapter for each book. Seeing what the author's style is like before reading them is "good".
Btw, I picked up City of the Beast at Gencon and have found the typefaces and pagesetting to be excellent, and the cover is sooo very cool. Moorcock's not half-bad either. ;)

What about as e-books?
Baen Publishing does this with their Webscriptions. They release their new novels in three segments over time right before publication.
I realize that this would be a pretty involved method that would require more servers, more IT, etc., etc., but it is a nice alternative and doesn't use PDF.
My wife subscribes to Webscriptions and loads them on her PDA...I read them in my web browser first, and then usually go buy the hardcopy if it was a novel I really liked.
