Savage Tide Soundtrack

Savage Tide Adventure Path

Hopefully I haven't missed this thread earlier, but I remember a few Dragons back, there was a Soundtrack article for Savage Tide, but it left out the album names for the tracks, so for one or two of the tracks, it just had "main theme" or something.

Does anyone have any idea on a full soundtrack list for the Savage Tide? It would be great to have some nice background music for.

All the way at the bottom. Be sure to thank the Fray. And know How To Save A Life

I'm rather partial to the soundtracks for Diablo I and II. I've a rather disturbing fondness for the caves track from Diablo I myself... seems a habit of late has been to sleep with it playing as background noise has developed ...

I'll second the vote for the diablo soundtrack. It's on my pod at the game table.

Also - i read a article in a online DM advice saying that you should showcase each player each session if possible. I thought playing a theme song at the moment a PC did something would be a cool touch.

The next time the party wizard does something neato I'm playing "the wizard" by Sabbath.

Any other ideas for class soundtacks?

Intruder from Primius "miscellaneous debris" for stealthy types.

Scarab Sages

I just reinstalled Diablo II:LOD. I love the music.
Didn't know there was a soundtrack, I'll look into it.

Also Black Aria I and II from Danzig is also some great gaming music.

Might want to ask each player what song pops to mind when they think of thier characters doing neat stuff in game. ^_^

The Trooper (Iron Maiden) for crush-ze-enemy types comes to mind.
Iron Man (Black Sabbath) for anyone surviving massive damage.
Countdown to Extinction (Megadeath) when a character is in "about to die" (ala Gauntlet video game).
Kall of Ktulhu (Metallica, Ride the Lightning) for divine casters or alienists.

Kinda on topic:

Spoiler:

I want to give each outer plane the party visits to have it's own soundtrack. So I've got Iggwilv's Manor figured out (The Fountain) and I'm thinking the Quake soundtrack for Pazunia. I was also thinking about using the Apocalypto soundtrack for Demo's layer but, seeing as I've used that alot, I want it to be something new.

Thoughts?

This is what I'm using:

1492 Conquest of Paradise
Last of the Mohicans
Batman Begins
Silent Hill
Gladiator
Master and Commander

In use around here :

Children of Dune - OST
Shadow of the Colossus - OST ( general purpose/ allrounder )
Gladiator - OST (only rarely these days)

PotC - OST ( big surprise )
Requiem for a Dream - OST ( usually for build-up for major battles, such as ToD )
13th Warrior - OST ( worked wonders for the jungle scenes and Kopru tunnels )

The Quiet American - OST ( Sasserine and purely social scenes )
Serenity - OST ( for selected spooky scenes )

and (the allrounder-OST)

Chronicles of Riddick - OST

I've made up a mix that includes the Master and Commander Soundtrack, lots of Pirates of the Carribbean stuff, and nice little splashes of Jurassic Park stuff as homage to the dinos on the isle of dread.

Oh, I forgot to mention that it also has some cuts from the Last Samurai Soundtrack as well. I was surprised how well that fit in as well.

Yeah, that's a good point, I'll check that out when I'm out shopping today.

WhatI also tend to do is take stuff off disks on my computer or from my download folder and put them in special folders. Right now for instance I have:
Naval Battle
Combat
Travel
Town
Creepy

Well, but then if you have different playlists for different moods, you find yourself fiddling with the music player during the session. If you do that, the music begins to distract from the action rather than add background flavor to it.

Best to just get generally applicable and appropriate music and just let it run. ymmv.

hmmm, I usually have some notes tacked onto my script, reminding me as to which playlist or track to switch to. about the same amount of work as getting the relevant index card for the encounter or monster.
