Has anyone added a structured story line to the old classic? I'm looking to run this adventure for some new kids with a new spin on it like a adventure path. The module has great npc characters that could use a little more story. Looking over it did the old Toee have a over all plot?(Slay monster, get treasure?
Thanxs!

If you get the T1-T4 package (available here as download), ToEE ties together with the Village of Hommlett and does have an overall plot. Actually, if you buy T1-T4, S1-S4, and GDQ1-7 as packages they fit together nicely as an AP, and there is bridging material in each package to support playing the series that way. Converting to 3e might be a bit painful, but could probably be done.

I thought that the middle of the "AP" was A1-A4 - the Slave Lords. S1-4 was Tomb of Horrors, White Plume, Barrier Peaks and Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth.
But overall, I like the idea.

Scourge of the Slavelords was A1-A4-is indeed a nice follow up to Toee
Converting Toee to 3.5 would be rather easy; However GDQ1-7 stat blocks for that would cripple the hand'(s)!

Talk about walking down memory lane...
That would be a fun AP for those who never successfully did the late 2nd edition version of the same.
ToEE, to A series, to GDQ series. The 'original' adventure path indeed. ^_^ One could go so far as to structure it along the lines of:
Hommelet (T-1), Temple of Elemental Evil (T-2 through T-4), Against the Slavers (A-1 through 4), White Plume Mountain (S-2 - wherein wait 3 weapons of legacy),the Lost Caverns of Tsjocanth (S-4), Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun (WG1 & the first introduction to Oerth's Really Icky Ancient Gawd), Expedition to the Barrier Peaks (S-3), To Kill Some Giants (G-1), To Kill a Few Giants More (G-2), To Kill a Whole Lotta Giants (G-3), Descent Into the Depths/Vault of the Drow (D1-2) and of course the grand finale within the Demonweb Pits (Q-1).
The Expedition to Greyhawk Ruins could serve admirably as the 'side quest' within this Adventure Path as well.
Q1 has effectively been done in the latest Expedition book of the same name, so it should be the easiest element to tack on to the above Adventure Path. What's better, the drow antagonists that start that whole Expedition rolling are likely to be plenty motivated to come after the PC's in the aftermath of thier cleaning out the Vault. Upgrading it would take some time, but it would certainly be a lot easier than fabricating it out of whole cloth.
IIRC, individually many of the 'old skewl' tournament modules have been overhauled to 3.5 via direct-download goodness. One could even be so harsh as to royally hose the group over with the 'campaign finale' post-Demonweb Pits via either 2nd edition 'big boxed sets of goodness': The Rod of Seven Parts and/or Return to the Tomb of Horrors. Or both, if you're feeling particularly malevolent.
Perhaps Paizo could nip the rights to Greyhawk/Oerth (in light of WoTC's current declared intent to utilize Forgotten Realms as the 4th edition 'core campaign') and restore to fluffy bunny goodness the 'Original Adventure Path' ? Pleasepleasepleaseplease ...
I'd be plenty willing to fork over a second Pathfinder-style subscription to get The Original Adventure Path from Paizo's talented staff!
