First session was 2005/05/01, and we play every *other* Sunday night for about 5 hours, call it 20 times a year.
They went thru Dark Myrkal like a hot knife on butter, but then spent a *long* time with Adimarchus. The wizard6/cleric3/mystic theurge10 had the smoking eye template so he borrowed the cleric9/radiant servant of pelor10 masterwork morning star and smashed the cage after Dark Myrkal was killed.
Adimarchus was straight from the book except I added +3 natural ac to both forms and I had him free action switch in the middle of the round and he got full attacks using both forms in the same round.
2.5 hours real time later, I was figuring they would have to go back to Occiptus, but I had it in my head that if the smoking eye template character killed him, he was permanently dead. The w/c/mt is the party buffer, npc de-buffer. About the only offensive spell he has is magic missile, and few others. The monk brings Adimarchus demonic form down to 10 hit points, and guess who's next! *sigh* he says, what the heck and casts magic missile, rolls a 20 + 16 + 4 on his overcome DR check, and kills Admimarchus with a stinking magic missile !!!!
The c/rsop has cast so many heals that I wonder where he was getting them, but other than the rogue that was imploded, no one else died.
I have to hand it to the writers, great campaign!

Oh, and for anyone interested....
Player, # characters, class(es)
Alfred - 1 - Rogue 19
Rich - 1 - Fighter 12 / Battlerager 7 (net class, sorta a barbarian on steroids)
Bob - 1 - Fighter 12 / Wizard 4 / OBI 5
Skip - 1 Cleric 9 / Radiant Servant of Pelor 10
Pete - 3 - Halfling barbarian 3 (left, useless character), Paladin 11 (died from a slay living), and finally Monk 19
Chris - 3 - Sorcerer 4 / Human Paragon 3 (useless, too far behind in spell levels), Fighter 5 / Paladin 4 (party asked him to bring in wizard, and finally Wizard 6 / Cleric 3 / Mystic Theurge 10
Rogue died twice, F/BR died once, and the Paladin died (and did not come back).

Sure...
Campaign overall was very good. My guys are somewhat role-playing light so they liked most of it, however, even they were getting tired of "kick in door, kill monster, take treasure", and repeat, by the end.
Should have added all the Cagewrights to the dungeon where the Tree was and ended the campaign when the tree was destroyed. The last two chapters, IMHO, were too much.
Moments that stick out, in no particular order:
Kauphon completely took them in. Surprised the heck out of them when he tried to push one of the characters in. After that, they did not trust *anyone* or *anything*.
The Fire Giant(?) smith. The group gave him the option of a clean cut off of the head (they had the Paladin/Fighter at that point) or they would beat him to death. Battle starts, Giant wins initiative, and hits the Fighter/Berserker with every hit, 2 of them confirmed criticals (dice were *hot* for me that night) and killed him outright. His six free words at that point were "Next? or die!".
Chapter one, they role played *quite* well with Patches(?) (half-orc at orphanage), and the kids.
One night (we start at 1600), they didn't roll a die till almost 2000, and that was a diplomacy check. I think it was while they were waiting for Celeste at the high-brow place.

Next up for you and your group, AoW ? STAP ? Pathfinder/RotRL ?
No. I don't want to do any of them next. I am going to run D0, D1, and any that come after, while filling in with Dungeon adventures, mostly wilderness. Run the characters to 12th-15th level and then probably do RotRL.
The reason is, my guys got a bit tired of keeping track of notes, and the overall plot line. Remember this took 2+ years to finish with our playing schedule. I've done this, all Dungeon adventure with a 3 or 4 level module thrown in before and they like it.
However, one of the guys wants to bring a laptop to the table (I have mine) and take notes and send out reports on what happens for each session. If he keeps this up, I will setup a wiki on my personal homepage, and put his reports there as well as plot line and other data (NPCs, treasure, XP, etc.) and maybe then it will not be so onerous keeping up with that.

Oh, and their characters for the next campaign are:
Wizard(evoker)
Rogue
Ranger (figher/stalker of Karash?)
Fighter (archer)
Druid
Duskblade
| Turin the Mad |
Papa-DRB, looks like a pretty good woodsy-ish line up of PCs they have, although the evoker might face some difficulties roaming the boonies for weeks and months on end.
That of course is with no foreknowledge of what they face. D0 ... is that a Necromancer module by any chance ? That designator doth tickle the back of the brain from relatively early in the OGL's big explosion phase...

D0 is Hollow's Last Hope by Paizo isn't it?

Righto, everything will be from either the Game Mastery series or from Dungeon.
D0 is GM - Hollow's Last Hope and is for 1st level characters. D1 is GM - Crown of the Kobold King and is for 2nd level characters.
Then it looks like a couple of Dungeon Magazine adventures (dang glad for the issue 150 index!), then it will be GM - W1 Conquest of Bloodsworn Vale (which is a terrific wilderness adventure!).
From there, we will see, but with the group that I have wilderness and small dungeon is what they are looking for so I will oblige.
