Don't think Allustan has a tower at all. Just a nice house with a walled garden and whatnot.
If you're talking about Tenser/Manzorian's castle, download the PDF of "Return of the Eight"--a late 2nd ed. module. It's got everything you'll need. It also has a fully developed wizard's townhouse in Greyhawk, which could be used for Allustan's residence if you want something a little more elaborate.

I would check Wizards.com and see if they have any free maps that might work for Allustan's abode (tower, house, both, etc.). Check their Art and Maps link on the left and see what you can find.
As for spells, I suggest you consider Allustan's level (whatever level he is in your game), and then consider the spells available to him. Alarm, symbol, guards and wards... There are also a bunch of great home-defense spells in the Spell Compendium, like dispelling screens and portal wards. I highly recommend it.

I feel fortunate. "The Return of the Eight" was a (much-adapted) penultimate game in my last campaign--a campaign which ran for over 20 years.
(Ever noticed how so many campaigns of old-time D&D players have such long lifespans?)
Anyway, the castle and the town of Magepoint became the retirement home for several of the epic-level PCs when the old campaign finally ended.
So now, 200 years later, when the "Age of Worms" PCs finally journey to Magepoint, they'll have to opportunity in interact with some of the PCs' retired epic-level PC or their descendants.
