Toys in your attic

What kinda of toys you got layin around from your childhood?
Or just cool toys you remember playing with as a kid.

I got all the star wars men from 76-83'loose and I still gots the little guns about 400 hotwheels cars and some Matchbox cars about 90 not opened. Oh yeah and 1,200 comic books from say 81-84.

A box of well-loved G1 Transformers and a few others, around 50-60 of them in fact.

I recently found the box for my Big Trak in my parents barn, all mildewed and ruined. No idea where the programmable tank beast is though. Great laser noises, IIRC!

I'm sure my parents still have my 3 3/4" GI Joe collection kicking around.

I'm not sure whether I liked playing with them, or putting the vehicles and stuff together more.

I specifically remember as a Canadian kid appreciating that they had Canadian flag stickers specifically made for the vehicles, and now I wonder if they had unique flag stickers for every country they were sold in?

More importantly, I certainly still have my C64 and TI 99/4a, the computers I learned to program on, and occasionlly bring out the 64 for a game of classic C64 Archon. So far there has not been anything on a modern computer or console that successfully replicates Archon on the 64.

Liberty's Edge

I got Star Wars men, original run, and I'm collecting them up now.
I got Micronauts.
My wife's got her dad's metal tank; he fought in World War II so its a pretty old piece of equipment.
I also got my dad's knight's castle from the 1950's.

Oh, it's not in my attic. It's in my kid's room.

It's a toy tank.
But I do have a knight's castle, so shoot I got room for a tank.
The knights just get all mad about the anachronistic nature of it.

The new star wars figures of today are cool so many of them, actions figures of the guy standing next to Chewbacca in the cantina sure you only saw his elbow in the film...

I got the McQ stormtrooper and Boba Fett; been hunting for the Chewbacca. I'm salivating over that Mandalorian set or whatever at entertainment earth.

Ticks me off though, you gotta go to the convention to get the Luke Skywalker, and the Euro convention for the threepio and artoo. It's no fair!

Liberty's Edge

(lol)how many storm/clone/troopers ya got now? I don't even know. When I was a kid I only had a stormtrooper, a snow trooper, and an at at driver, so I'm kinda going off the deep end with my imperial army building.

I have 88 IG-88 he is the baddest bounty hunter-did you know he took over the death star transforming it into a giant IG-88.

Liberty's Edge

Yeah, I think I read that one in the Bounty Hunters story.
Did you read the one about the Cantina guys? The snot vampire is badass.

Crazy, toys in the attic, I am crazy?

As ever,
