Post Origins - Do we have Submission Guidelines?

First, I'll apologize if this has already been posted, I only did a quick glance through the site & forums...

Now that Origins is over, will we have Submission Guidelines for Game Mastery Modules and/or Pathfinder articles?

I'm assuming that was the bulk of the discussion for the "Writing for Paizo Publishing" seminar hosted by Eric and Jason.

From what I understand they are close, but still hammering out the kinks --

1) Monsters. This seems to be the first and likely most 'open' way of getting published to start. Perhaps it will expand to spells, prestige classes, etc.

2)Pathfinder and AP's (If I recall) will be left to people Paizo trust and have seen quality work from before. I thought I heard that GameMastery may at some time be open, but once again it was just a whisper on the digital wind.

So no submission guidelines yet; but I am sure Paizo has it as a priority (they have said as much numerous times).

If you are truly itching to submit something, I hearsay that WOTC has guidelines -- it is all the buzz today.

(once again everything above is my recollections, please feel free to correct me if I am mistaken)

No.

Let me restate one more time:

When we have submission guidelines available we will let you know. We will make a huge deal of it, I'm sure. It will be nigh impossible to come to the site and NOT see that we have submission guidelines up.

That is not now.

That is not likely in the month of July.

Earlier word on it was that Paizo would try to, and most likely, have them ready after Gen Con and that's in August. So, probably end of August early September is my guestimate, but that doesn't count for much. Just going off of what's been said before hand.

Thanks Mike.

Sorry for hassling you guys for what I'm sure is the umpteenth time about the Submission guidelines... I was hoping it would be around now, what with the Origin's seminar...

I'll go back to enjoying summer and bide my time until after Gencon ;-)

Both Jason and James addressed this issue during Tuesday night's #pathfinder chat. Don't expect them until after Burnt Offerings hits the market. The idea is that once the first Chapter of Rise of the Runelords comes out, Paizo can point to concrete examples of what they'll be looking for.

Of course, they've also said that the new features will not be very different from those found in Dragon and Dungeon.

Go ahead and design some critters, some spells, some whatever. Once the guidelines come out, you'll be ready to go. Either way, you'll have some new stuff for your home game...
