Now, I realize that PAs are probably not OGL. I also realize that I could just use the guidelines in the PHB II to convert the Pathfinder organization into a PA.
Having said that I find that the information given in the STAP for PAs is top notch and above anything that I could have come up with on my own. Could we have some unofficial suggestions on how to liven up and establish the Pathfinder organization as a PA? For example, what are the titles for the different positions within the Pathfinder hierarchy? What classes make up the majority of the membership? What skills are prized? Are there divisions within the organization? Some of this may be obvious but some is not.
I'm hoping to see that kind of information in the books or on some other place. Please?

Yes. The first Pathfinder does indeed have an article that describes the Pathfinder Society. There's no "crunch" in that article, though.
I'd love to see affiliations in Pathfinder. I haven't read too much about them yet, but from what I've seen they look like a Good Thing. Or, at the very least, a clean way to determine how and to what extent PCs can associate themselves with various organizations.
I'm thinking of tying Prestige Classes to specific organizations, so you'd need to meet a minimum affiliation score in order to qualify for the PrC.

Yeah, affiliations are pretty neat, but they're not open to us. While our readers can feel free to create affiliations based on organizations we present, we cannot. Nor can we really even comment on player-created ones.

Ah, I had wondered about that. WotC owns the affiliation concept.
That's ok. While I like affiliations, I could see them starting to become overrused - like prestige classes. Pretty soon you might have affiliations for everything.
What about - something like a Guild? It would be similar to, but different from, an affiliation. "Guilds" would be far less widespread (and hopefully, created more judiciously). "Guilds" are something in the public domain.
You can have your basic Thieves' Guild, Assassin's Guild, etc. and have prestige classes open only to members of that Guild.
You can also have "Sects", "Cults", etc.

Well, that's a shame, but affiliation mechanics are just one way to provide for that kind of organizational relationship in the game. I'm sure whatever you come up with will fit the bill nicely ;)
