I know it's been stated to be, in real world terms, about the size of California. But oddly enough, I'm curious as to how it would "size up" in terms of something I know better. You know, like the Flanaess region of Oerik/Oerth :) (Never mind that I lived 10 years in CA)

Varisia and the surrounding regions that show up in Rise of the Runelords more or less fits on an 8.5 by 11 inch page, at one inch = 50 miles.
The big Greyhawk map we did in Dungeon way back when was one hex = 30 miles, but I don't know how many hexes to the inch that map was at.
SO! If no one jumps on here and does the math by tomorrow, I'll do so myself once I roll in to work.
about 425 miles by 550 miles... lets see here...
based upon the LGG map it looks like it would be roughly about the size of Keoland and the Ulek states combined (From the rushmoors to the azure sea and from the javan river to the lortmils)
Thank you James, thank you Cwslyclgh (Wes??). I was thinking of something along the lines of Keoland already; now I know it should be a bit bigger.
I'm poor at calculating things like this, especially w/ map scales and such. So I appreciate your help.
