Half-Medusa Monsters

3.5/d20/OGL

I'm looking to create a half-breed abomination. The mother will definitely be a medusa, possibly a medusa wizard, sorcerer, psion, bard, or even a cleric.

I want the father to be a largeer and stronger than normal humanoid. Could anyoneon the list offer a suggestion or two as too what I should select?

Ogre mage?

Liberty's Edge

I was gonna say ogre mage too.
I think an efreeti would be cool too.

(edit) Oooh!!! How about an ettin?!?
Ant the scion has two heads, with snake hair, and the hair on one head is always biting the other head in the face!!! And vice versa.
That's cuh-raaaaazy.

Flaming snake hair o'dhoom?

Scarab Sages

For a fun visual you could go minotaur, or maybe even girallon.

Troll, braxat, doppelganger, gargoyle, goatfolk, harpy, kopru, marruspawn, phthisic.

Braxat? Kopru? Marruspawn? Phthisic? Which Books?

Doppelganger or a changling sound like it has potential. I have a goatfolk cleric/lich in the works. Why not a medusa templat on top of that.

Harpy. Again, lethal and amusing.....

Minotaur, Hnmmmm, maybe with a male counterpart, revise din a recent issue of Dragon.

What a girallon?

Both the braxat and kopru are in Monster Manual II. Marruspawn, suitably freakish and would go well with a medusa, are in Sandstorm. Phthisic are in the Expanded Psionics Handbook. You can use DM Tools to look up monsters if you don't know where they're from. :D

Liberty's Edge

Or, a yeti. With snakes all over its body where the furry yeti pelt goes.

Yuan-ti OMG! Snake-worshipping snake people with charming spell-like abilities that can shapechange into snakes...who date snake-headed chicks! "Just think if we had snakes for hair! We'd be the snakiest!"

Mind Flayers would be a fun mix if you count "more alien than humanoid" as acceptable. Psionic brain-eating superintelligent medusa! Appendages everywhere!

And you didn't ask for this at all, and I can't quite conceive of the, er, mechanics but...

Beholdermedusa! (a.k.a. Bedusa!) Snakes that shoot death rays coming out of your disembodied, floating head!

Reptiles don't take to cold very well. Like my avatar for example.

Or even with thick fur.

Lilith, you're wonderful. Thank you for the information. I must invite you to my treasure horde sometime....

I'm sure the DM tools will come in handy.

I can see a Mind-Flayer/Medusa cross-bred, but only if they were desperate or on the verge of extinction.

Bemusa? Bemusa. Muholdera. I like that name better. Interesting monster design. Highli improbable unless a ritual was involved, but still.....

A Mind Flayer with snakes instead of tentacles...

Beyond that, most of the good stuff has been named. What's wrong with just taking a Giant?
