Skie as a Strider

I'm thinking of making Skie one of the Striders of Fharlanghn. A retired adventurer still, but their eyes and ears of Cauldron, up until their visit. She and Meethran will be the party's source of crafting magic.

Is there anything in the campaign past Chapeter 5 that should keep me from doing this?

Forgive me, I have only read up to Chapter 5 and We are just starting 2:Drakthar's Way.

I don't see anything stopping you from doing this. Skie doesn't actually appear in any of the adventures to my recollection, and the Striders have a small enough role in the printed materials that adding a member should be fine.

Skie could be the flip-side of Vhalantru in a way. She keeps an eye on the local adventuring population for the wider reaching Striders organization. Scopes out groups that might have useful skills and suitable temperments to either help or be offered membership in the Striders but in a more passive way than Meerthan, Felio, & Ferrion.

Remember that the Last Laugh are regular customers of Skie's. If you want to make her a member of the striders, you should either change this, or explain why she ascociates with them.

Perhaps shes a secretive member (a la Meerthan). She only appears to help them out to maintain her cover. She has been scoping out the citizens and eventually will side with Meerthan and provide much needed info and/or validation of what Meerthan and the other Striders express when their existance and opposition to the Cauldron's authority figures comes to a head.
