Scarab Sages

Well, as much as some folks might b%%*& at me for it, I have to say that, so far, WotC is impressing me with this series. I've only seen about 7 of the minis, but some of them have me excited.

Frost Giant Jarl - classic
Kuo Toa - 2 different ones so far
Raislin Majere!!!!! - SWEET! Its the Red-robed version, but hopefully they'll put out the Black-robed version with the Gargantuan Green Dragon - aka Cyan Bloodbane.

Are you listening WotC? For once, please tell me you are!

They also seem to be making some of the "monsters" more common than the Rare of previous sets.

Humanoids are all well and good, but we do need beaties that don't cost a fortune to purchase from Ebay or Many, many random packs.

But yes I agree, this set is looking rather nice so far! Not much use for giants myself, but still nice to have!

What I like about giants, is that I don't need a lot of them. Just one or two and I can do a pretty good encounter for players. Besides that I just love it when they do minis based off of the classic old adventures. The Thrall of Blackrazor from Unhallowed was cool.

I am excited about the common koa-toa and the uncommon whips. I have a 8 of the old harbinger ones, but have been aching for new, better sculpted ones. Nice!

The ghouls from Unhallowed were so much better the older ghouls. I'm glad that they are pushing the scale at least a little to make some better detailed figures.

I love the skinny old koa-toa! Buy, yea, I'm glad to see some new ones too. Hated the Harbinger ghouls - way too wimpy. And now that bugbears have gotten a little beefier, the Harbinger (Dragoneye?) ones with the hand nailed to their shields just look so tiny. Generally speaking, I think the quality of the sculpts is getting better.

Absolutely! I can't wait to see what else they throw into this seires. Judging from the silhouettes they've given us, it looks like they've got at least one more dragon, and I'm hoping what looks like a cloaker (I hope! I hope! I hope!).
