I'm strongly considering changing up chapter 4 for a more Lovecraftian feel/atmosphere.
1) Change the Jerrod encounter such that we're not overusing dragons. I'm thinking an Orge Mage lead war party. Or is there something more lovecraftian that I can have terrorising Jerrod. Maybe an escapee from the nearby underdark? Shoggoth (wimpified of course)?
2) Change the Kuo-toans to "Deep Ones" and change lobster-god -what's-her-name to Dagon. Leave the summoned demon the same, at least I think at this point.. Take out the black dragon and add in a suitably powered Lovecraftian "Kuo-Toan Leviathon" in the underground lake.
3) add in some sanity affecting effects, and for one thing you have a much better explanation for the dwarf "oracle".
