I have a player in my STAP game that is playing a Minotuar using the level progression out of Savage Species. He just made level 8 which is the last level of minotuar. If I have read everything correctly he does not get feats or attribute points on the normal character level progression. Since at 8th level he only have 6HD he just got his third feat. He hasn't gotten any attribute bonuses so far other that those given by the minotuar progression, which are pretty big. Am I doing this right? I assume he will get another feat at 11th level (9HD) and an attribute point at 10th level (8HD).

Yes that is correct.....feats and attributes are based on the HD of the character.... He should have got one attribute bonus as a 4 HD Minotaur as well.

While feats and attributes are based on HD, the minotaur's attribute at 4th level is incorporated into its ability scores. A player would only receive an ability point at 8th.
