Thank you very much. Unfortunatley that site is weak at finding asian or pacific islander names. How do I know? Because I tried.
I'm doing this for a class on geneology, the majority of the students sur names are of asian or pacific islands. Hawaiian names are know problem, try finding Aguda or Adzuara.

From there you can go to several orgins such a Nordic, Polynesian, German etc,etc. I've used it to help come up with names for my charcters when I want the name to mean something in paticular.
Read any baby name book; I have a couple in my rpg library. You can also search by type such as; Finnish Surnames and get a list.
Thanks everyone for the help. Still haven't found what I am looking for though. I need a sight a teen with trouble focusing could use to find out about his name. Since many of my students have asian and pacific island names, thier names always come up empty in the searches.
