City Emblem

Liberty's Edge

I read another post a while ago that the city's emblem is a bit cliche' (with good reason) and I agree to some degree.

Here's what I came up with for a city emblem.

Aerial view of a volcano, looking straight down its throat. The interior circular part is a staring eye. The eyelashes that rings the outside of the eye/volcano lip are shaped like flames (sort of like the flames on Jeff Gordon's car.

I cant draw worth a crap or else I would upload a picture. LOL. Eh, it's the thought that counts.

I 'redesigned' the emblem too. It was too derivative of LOTR and foreshadowed the villain a bit too obviously (as did his first name - Orbius). The original symbol was also quite sinister for an 'innocent' trading town. My design is a mountain peak with a river flowing beneath and three stars above. Its a picture I found online actually.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the city emblem?

an open eye wreathed in flames.

Yeah, I also did away with the "official" city emblem for the reasons stated above. I replaced it with a line-drawing of a cone-shaped mountain with a city wall atop it, with a small arched gate and a road winding down the front. Above this arcs the name “CAULDRON” in block letters, while below is the town motto “liberque confirmare” meaning “free and secure” in Old Oeridian.
