Besides the obvious, what connection if any, does this demi-plane mentioned in Dragon 353 hold to Kyuss and his worms? What becomes of his demi-plane of imprisonment after his defeat? Could this demi-plane the remnants of his prison plane?? Please, more info, as the article (awesome, BTW) only has a sentence about it. (One sentence on AoW path related material is enough for me to start a post about it!)

Glad you liked the article :)
The details on Wormscape from 'Guide to the Ethereal' were deliciously vague. They even dangled the possibility that the titular worms of the demiplane were simply part of, or feeding upon the corpse of, something massive much deeper within. Now I only had a line to talk about the place, and I didn't have any particular angle I wanted to hint at on that particular demiplane as opposed to some others. For Wormscape I just wanted to include it on the list so it would have a 3.x mention to a broader audience than its 2e source might have.
Now I started subscribing to Dungeon a bit late to have caught most of the Age of Worms adventure path, so I can't immediately speculate in any depth on a link between Kyuss and Wormscape. But, that said, whether or not the place has a link to him, it's a great rumor to send PCs after regardless of whether you as a DM want to play up an actual connection, or just introduce something else entirely into your campaign.
I haven't used Wormscape in any of my own campaigns' travels through the ethereal (though I may in the next six months given where the metaplot is going) but I've pondered a connection between the idea of a rotting -something- in the demiplane and the massive, demiplane spawning insect called the Embryonite that GttE also toosed out as a hook. Perhaps the thing in Wormscape was used as an incubator for eggs by the Embryonite, like how some mortal wasps will paralyze other insects and lay eggs inside of them to hatch later. Perhaps Wormscape is a developing -something- slowly maturing and hatching out of the corpse of some ethereal creature, a dying god, or something like Neth.
Man I adore the ethereal...
