War Hulk question

3.5/d20/OGL

I am looking at the entry for War Hulk, and it reads that at 1st level the War hulk gains an ability called No time to think.
Then I start reading further along and there is no such thing.
Am I blowing my spot check, and I just don't see it?
Or does it not exist and I am driving myself crazy for no reason?
Can anyone aid this Gamer in distress?
Does any one even use War Hulk's in their game?

Please help.

What book is that one in? I know it has to be in there, because I played one in a one-shot a couple years ago.

Okay, just found it. It's right there is the Class Features section, after Ability Boost and before Great Swing. The class ability says that a character with levels in the War Hulk are considered to have zero ranks in any mental ability based skill except intimidate. Don't know what version of the book you have.

Thank you. I do not have the miniature's Handbook with me so I am using WotC's preview from the Handbook.

Okay, I'm sorry but... is it just me or does this class sound like a power-gamer's wet dream? I don't even know what this class DOES and I don't like it simply because it seems to be based on basically playing a mindless killing machine.

Can someone explain to me what, exactly, this class is all about? Please tell me something redeeming here.

They get no advancement to BAB. At all. Not even a wizard's advancement. Granted, the Str boosts make up for the loss of hit probablility, but they don't get iterative attacks. Perfect for dumb crusher NPCs, but I'd sure never play one!

Any class that get a +20 to str is a no for any pc in my book.

::blink::

What the HELL?!? Who comes up with this stuff?! Without a BAB, the character wouldn't be able to qualify for the vast majority of useful combat feats, especially in the higher levels. This sounds like something that may have been a good idea in theory but probably should have ended up on the editing room floor.

I think they explicitly state that it's for NPC giants and such (if I remember correctly, one of the prereqs is size Large or larger). It's be fun to make a nasty fairy-tale hill giant with that PrC that'll last 1 encounter, but nobody is meant to play one as a PC, if I read it right.

Oh, okay, so it's like a PrC for giants similar to the Dragon PrCs in the Draconomicon then? Makes much more sense that way.

It's exactly what it sounds like. A craptastic mindless smasher. Pretty lame for a PC if you ask me.
